Has really been almost 5 years since this game came out!?

a couple years back I decided to jump into HL2, since everyone and their grandmother raved about it..... started playing.... the empty feeling you have, feeling all alone was interesting.... then finally I encountered "the bad dudes" (*pictures old NES cartridge graphic*) and the music queue'd up.... and I was like "HOLY **** this is the best FPS I've ever played"......

..... shortly thereafter I was bored to tears..... I just kept playing, well cuz I like to finish all my games, but it became so painfully boring to play..... I started to loath it.... I just quit playing, eventually formatted my comp, losing my save file... and refuse to put myself through that hell again just so I can say "yeah i beat it"

Maybe i'd play it again if i didnt keep getting the dreaded "hl2.exe has stopped working" error. I can't find a fix for it though...AAllxxjjnn

Had a hard time getting into the console versions (have had both...). Then I spent 10 bucks on Steam and damn.....

Orange Box on my (crappy) laptop is pretty much better than every single console fps.

Half Life 2 is a very different game from most. Its slow paced and more about exploring your envireonment than killing it (which for fps is wierd).

I love it, but i understand those who hate it.

i playedhalf life 2on 360, extremely boring game and deffo overrated. havent played it since then seriesly wtf is up with opening gates, getting in boat, dodge teh choppa, open gate, get in boat, repeat then after that section finishes carry on playing the borefest :| also i dont see how playing this game would be any better on pc, this game is 5 years old and im sure 360 runs it maxed out. so "teh graphics" arent the reason that would make pc version better

Half-Life 2 was amazing at first, but its so boring now. The only thing that keeps bringing me back is the story. The gameplay is very medicore...

Yeah... too bad you're in an airboat for 1/3 of the game. That part sucked so much.Next-Gen-Tec
