If Sony's thing about the Move is how it can do hardcore games, then they should have released it in a window where there was no other Hardcore games coming out to give it the image of the most Hardcore thing out compared to the rest of the shovelware out at the time.

Releasing it alongside Reach just points out the contrast between a true hardcore game (and gamer) from Move.

And in a time where Hardcore gamers have to pick, most everyone's gonna pick Reach, thus making Move look like inconsequential shovelware itself.

I own all platforms, and I know that I will be picking up Reach and not the Move because of this.

You are in the vast vast minority if you own multiple system. The overwhelming majority of gamers own just one console. There won't be very many people that will be faced with the choice to put money on Move or on Reach.

Frankly I'm confused why anyone released ANY games in the same year that Starcraft 2 came out. Y'know what my games schedule looks like for the rest of the year? STARCRAFT 2.

Well I hope next time all the game companies consult you on when they should release their games.

Yeah I've put in about 150 hours into SC2. It is hard to pull away and play my consoles.

I don't think they could afford my rates :P - There are so many titles this year that just suck up people's time. We have Starcraft 2, WoW Cataclysm, Halo Reach and CoD Black Ops. Those games will have a huge impact on how any other game can expect to sell, simply because the would-be players are so busy with other stuff. For example, Starcraft 2 may be the last game purchase of the year for me... and that's a scary thought, but it's a real possibility. I can easily see any of the big titles having the same impact. So yes, in short, releasing MOVE right now is kind of odd. - Let me put it this way - I wasn't aware MOVE was coming out and I *follow the industry*, I can't imagine for people who don't care about gaming. All I've been thinking about are those four big games, nothing else has even entered my vision, so I can't imagine the general public even knows about anything beyond the big four that have been getting advertised from every possible angle, drowning everything else out.

Yes TC, because people who play Halo are the exact same people who play PS3 games and are wondering about Move.

I was being sarcastic if you didn't already realize.
