Has SW caused anyone to want to quit gaming?

All the "this flopped, haha you pre-ordered it" and "this system's going to die and you bought it!" banter can sure take a toll on a guy's self-esteem don't ya think? I for one enjoy being a PS3 excluisve owner and laughing at Lemming's pathetic resources for reasons as to why my console of choice has no change this gen, but that's another story.

I was just curious if anyone has actually been driven away from gaming, for whatever reason, because of the stuff that pops up here at System Wars? I mean, we are fairly quick to judge and the culture that has been built on this board certainly can be fairly cruel, so I'm just wondering if anyone's just been like "f*** this s***, I've had it fighting with these cows/sheep/lemmings/hermits. Why do I ever play these f**k*** things?"

Oh, and for the record, I've been here longer than this ISA_Scum account claims. Used to be Level 27 under a different name so yes, this is based on quite a bit of experience.

I'm a new member and thus, new to SW, but yeah there are a LOT of morons on here. Hasn't made me want to stop gaming. If anything, it proves to me that I have more appreciation for great games than most here do. They bash other systems games incessantly, which to me, is not the mark of a real gamer.

Sometimes it's better to bash the games, than the actual companies... After all, games are the reason we're here in the first place.

There was a thread not too long ago about someone quiting gaming. But I'm not sure if it was exclusively because of System Wars. :P

I for one find arguing on System Wars to be quite fun and a good waste of time while I am waiting for games to come out.

Exactly, lol. Any guy (since it is mostly guys that come here) that is so insecure and sensitive as to let System Wars effect his personal life and choices seriously needs to take off the high heels, and check between his legs in order to make sure he still has a pair. Or actually, and on a more serious note, anyone in general who takes this place that seriously obviously should seek some sort of mental health care ASAP.
