I shall throw out all my Halo games! I shall immediatelty pre-purchase a game whose precursors were genre-defining yet the developers chose to directly copy off of Infinity Ward anyway!

cod games multiplayer sucked after number 2, with the helicopters and crap. reach is gonna be the best. bfbc2 will be good but nowhere near as good as halo reach.

and if cod4 had such better mp than halo 3 then why was halo 3 the most played online game on xbox live in 2008 and 2009? yea thats what i thought.

and let's let the sales do the talking... gurantee u reach will sell more than bfbc2 on pc ps3 and xbox360 combined ;)

You obviously dont have halo 3 cus they get 230,000 players on at any time consistently

CoD multiplayer is just getting more gimicky as things go on. CoD2 used to be quite fun. CoD4 just didnt have the same apeal to me. Evreyone is to competitive for kills.
Team based shooters are way better. Battlefield series being in my opinion the best (large scale gameplay, conquest, vehicles, mods), tho Team Fortress 2 is preaty good.

BC2 multiplayer will be nearly dead in 2 months tops.

No single Battlefield game is dead yet. 1942, Vietnam, 2, 2142, Heroes and Bad Company 1 are all still running great... Battlefield 2 is 7th most played game on Xfire, Bad Company 2 is 9th. Battlefield Heroes is in top 50, Battlefield 1942 and 2142 are in the top 100 and Vietnam is 169th...

No single BF game is dead...

Halo has the largest staying power out of all of the shooters in console gaming. Maybe even the largest staying power out of all console games. That's what happens when you have a great non-buggy multiplayer and a ton of community featuresSparkyProtocol

Halo is not the be all end all of shooters. It never was, it was only marketed to the mainstream trend following mtv watching crowd using m$ money .. There are many of us who see halo for what it is , a mediocre shooter game that gets way too much hype and praise. There are countless PC shooters out there that are miles above halo. And Frankly I am getting sick and tired of halo threads we need a sticky. Halo by itself is an ok game but really it gets too much hype its not all that, I am not bashing the game just saying that it;s not the second coming that halo fans are always preaching about. BFBC2 is going to rock. Killer single player campaign mixed with Kick arse large scale battlefield style multiplayer is an instant win in my book. And maybe some of the smart trend followers will get off cod and halo for a second to realize there are better shooters out there.

Oh that is nice and all... but BFBC2 and Reach will not be the same kind of MP, and does not attract the same people, what is the better game is purely subjective.

I have a better idea, lets judge the two games when at least one of them actually comes out.

Sorry that I don't care enough about Battlefield as a series to know when we've switched from talking about BATTLEFIELD bad company 2 back to some old pc game.

Sheesh.

A lot of people are referring to it as battlefield 2 because it's the most recent battlefield with 2 in it, sorry for failing on semantics.
