Sorry that I don't care enough about Battlefield as a series to know when we've switched from talking about BATTLEFIELD bad company 2 back to some old pc game.

A lot of people are referring to it as battlefield 2 because it's the most recent battlefield with 2 in it, sorry for failing on semantics.

Battlefield 2 was from 2005, Halo 2 was from 2004 so I thought it was a good comparison. Im sorry if I seemed a tad bit rude, but Battlefield series is one of my all time favorites and i just wanna point out that Battlefield Bad Company 2 comes from a line of exelent MP oriented shooters.

And Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 2 are in the same series: Battlefield. Battlefield: 1942, Vietnam, 2 and 2142 are the main line of BF games, PC exclusives, oriented towards vehicle play. Bad Company is a spinoff line of infantry oriented console games from the Battlefield series.

Halo is not the be all end all of shooters. It never was, it was only marketed to the mainstream trend following mtv watching crowd using m$ money .. There are many of us who see halo for what it is , a mediocre shooter game that gets way too much hype and praise. There are countless PC shooters out there that are miles above halo. And Frankly I am getting sick and tired of halo threads we need a sticky. Halo by itself is an ok game but really it gets too much hype its not all that, I am not bashing the game just saying that it;s not the second coming that halo fans are always preaching about. BFBC2 is going to rock. Killer single player campaign mixed with Kick arse large scale battlefield style multiplayer is an instant win in my book. And maybe some of the smart trend followers will get off cod and halo for a second to realize there are better shooters out there.

In all seriousness - its cool that you enjoy other shooters more. But if someone enjoys Halo - isn't that just as cool? I personally enjoy Halo more than any shooter series I've ever played (With L4D, Portal and Shadowrun getting coming close behind for being unorthodox and awesome).

Besides, it's not like Bungie didn't earn people's respect - they interact regularly with their fanbase and have built up a reputation for outputting quality.

Halo is the God of console shooters. Any debating is WRONG. IMO, when Halo Reach comes out, they should launch Halo 3 on PC. Id like to see it with AA and all that jazz.

Real guns are very accurate. A good gun will be perfectly accurate for a way beyond 800 meters in perfect conditions. The problem is that with 5.56mm cartriges (most assault rifles) bullets will get affected by wind and gravity over greater distance and also will loose lethality cuz they slow down. So in reality you can only realy relay on 5.56mm guns at round max 300-500 meters. So realistic would mean that at the ranges most FPSs games play you could kill a guy with one shot and it would be perfectly accurate.

When Reach comes out it will definitely top Bad Company 2 on XBL. It's the PC where BC2's community will really shine.

At first I thought this was going to be about Killzone 3 or something but its actually not. But yeah BF: BC2 will be, in my humble opinion, one of the best shooters made this gen.

Its quite simple really,Halos community is large because.......Halo is the king of casual shooters. Dont need casuals ruining real shooters like Battlefield & Counter Strike, they can try but they'd rage quit so hard having to play against real fps players in games that require skill.

Only on Halo MP will you find racist gangsta wannabe pre pubescent teens, lol more casual than wii sports :)
