Have You Ever Been Physically Repulsed By A Game's Graphics?

I tried to play aidyn chronicles for a few minutes and was forced to stop due to a physical illness. the ugly graphics hurt my body. i was so repulsed with what i saw i had to turn it off. how the hell did we think these were cutting edge graphics back in the days?

FF7 almost made me gag. :lol:

I had never played it or seen the graphics since they put it up on PSN, I thought it looked too horrible to play through.

the first time I played Final fantasy 6, I chundered everywhere!!!

It doesnt look as bad as that shot, and it is an amazing game.

Not physhically but kayne and lynch 2 had horrible graphics because of overuse of bloom and other post proccessing effects. But luckily since you can turn them off on the pc version it actually looks good after wards going from this

Now to answer the question as long as i can play old 3d games in high resolutions with AA and AF the games look fine to me Deus ex,Max payne, and unreal all look good to me because of it. Console games played on the original console look like utter crap on hdtv's play them in high resolution with AA and AF and they look good.

I feel sorry for you guys. If I was in marketing I'd love you though.

No. It's hard to believe such a thing is possible.

I don't about being physically repulsed, but I can't play old 3D games (such as Doom) for long. Otherwise, I get a headache because their visuals are not very easy on the eyes

Fallout 3, Mass Effect

Depends on the game and how it impacts gameplay and enjoyment. I still love Diablo II, Ocarina of Time, and many more games. Yeah there graphics have aged, but they were so well done that they do not hurt the gameplay a bit. BUT games like clay fighters 63 1/3 have been hurt from this.

Tried hard and the cutscenes were pulling me through but i end up not finishing it, some games i just can't tolerate the graphics... i can do well with sprites or tatics games like in the psp but 3d games is just... oO

Anybody who actually takes offence to any games graphics, to the point of actually having a physical or psychosematic (soemthing that's entirely in your head) reaction to it, REALLY needs to take a break from gaming for a while. Take some time to put things into perspective.

Often. I've had trouble playing with the early 3d games (like ff7/golden eye/etc.) graphics, made me dizzy somehow. And, if the camera in game rotates a lot, it makes me nauseating.

True story: After playing GTA4 on PS3 the amount of jaggles and pop in textures made my eyes hurt. I woek up the next morning and had an developed an ulcer in my eye and almost made me lose an eye

It's just that with some of the comments I've seen in System Wars I don't know what to believe anymore XD

And I do agree with the previous comment, Killzone 2 was incredibly blurry, thankfully Killzone 3 looks much better.

I don't like how your poll makes it sound like all PC gamers are graphic whores.:roll: My answer in short is no. The only time I can remember being a little irritated by graphics recently was with New Vegas, but I dealt with it and they can be fixed with mods if I wanted to do so. Besides that I cant say that a game has "repulsed" me with its graphics.

Not really, but Singularity had some lol-worthy graphical effects, like the "meat" that appeared when you shot someone. Still, the game was fun, and most devs don't even add any physical damage for being shot, so it wasn't too bad.

I don't think so. At worst I've think I've played games that just looked dull; never anywhere near physcially painful...

idk what peoples problem with FF7... I think it looks great... Cloud looks a bit weird at times, but other than that I love it.

I felt physically ill because of Shadowgate64. There was this time when I got my character drunk and how that was represented on screen just really messed me up--I wasn't feeling very good when I was playing it, it got worse after that... I'm not going into details :lol:. Outside of that, repulsion? Not really.

I'm trying to think of any old game that I tried later on, that I stopped playing because of its visuals--nothing is coming to mind.

Yes but only when the execution was **** in the first place. I can still easily play older 3D games like Super Mario 64, OoT, MM, Quake I, II, III, Morrowind, and many more without being repulsed.

I couldn't get past cross dressing cloud x.x, they just got to me, and that moronic decision where they used the absolutely terrible ingame models for the cutscenes, instead of at least the battle models, or proper high res-ones to match the scene.

I'm basically fine playing anything that looks as good, or better than final fantasy 8, such an improvement graphically over 7.

The only thing that disappoints me is playing old games on an HDTV. I understand that it's a necessary change, but given that I don't think my future library will ever match my pre-HD library it's extremely disappointing. I'm going to have to find a way to always have an SDTV on hand.

FF7. I have played games on the commondor 64 that looked better. Plus just looking at Cloud's EMO character makes me want to vomit.

Yes I play games from 25 years ago to handheld games to flash games to PS3 games to BFBC2 and LBP got me rethinking my PS3 purchase. I already sold my copy... and recently found the smoothing and something else options on my PS3. Maybe I should have turned those on since nobody else seems to have had any of the issues with the graphics that I had.

Medal of Honor Underground for the GBA. It's unplayable. The FPS is 1.KHAndAnime

Now that's a horrible looking game, specially when compared to Ecks Vs. Sever

Picture that with fluid animations and a more or less stable 30 FPS framerate.
