Well I got abit queasy at the beginning of SAW 2 demo where he cuts open his eye to get the key. It wasnt bad graphics but the blood seeping out was so realistic...yuck. First time I was ever grossed out by a game.
if you bought it off psn and have a psp , I would suggest transfering it to psp and playing it on that.. looks wayyy better on smaller screenFF7 almost made me gag.
I had never played it or seen the graphics since they put it up on PSN, I thought it looked too horrible to play through.

I bought Bayonetta recently. Which looks pretty fuggly at first, so much that it scared me. Did get used to it though. Now it's the rumble that is actually hurting my hands >_> I don't know how to turn it off...
Wow. People really DO take graphics way too seriously here :|
I hate repeating myself but some folks need to step away from games to put things into perspective.
Nope. I can still play games from the NES no problem.DarkOfKnight
NES games are mostly 2D. 2D games' graphics age like wine. Wanna-be-realistic 3D graphics age like a beer in a toxic dump. Most early 3D games will look really bad even when compared with the very first Mario game.
I can still play most PSOne games and N64 games to this day and I don't have any problems with them.:)
Someone posted Kanye & Lynch 2: Dog Days and I agree, the camera was neat at first, but then it just got on my nerves.:?
2D/2.5D games such as fighters, shoot 'em ups, platformers, izometric RTS games, beat 'em ups, and other types are all ageless and beautiful if the artistic st yle appeals to me.
N64 games have textures that are very bland, but the artistic colourful st yle really appeals to me, so i have no problem playing them.
PS1 games look horrible, in every way, with pixelated textures that warp horrifically. With that said, i can easily get used to playing them after 20 - 30 minutes, Just like what happened with MGS 1, i love that game, and i finished it 3 weeks ago. The gameplay needs to entertain me, and the story to hook me.
PC games, i mod them. I have no problem with any PC game, graphic wise, weather they are from the early 90s or this generation.
I have no problem with any PS2 game, though i only played like 10 games for it, since i first bought it in '09.

Grand THeft Auto IV. The game made me sick.

I agree... its visuals are horrifically bad, i can't express enough how horrible they are. But it looks really good, modded.
Modded GTA4 is how it should be played, honestly the game looks like crap without it.:|
... Now if only the controls weren't so annoying either.:x I'd love to play GTA4 with Mafia 2's controls.:P

Yeah, no joke. I honestly can't get how people can play that game unmodded. And the console version.. shouldn't have existed. I think GTA IV should have ben on a next gen console.
I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Nah.. they should have just not tried to go so big.... cut down on details, make things simpler looking, but higher res and altogether crisper.... like how the Source Engine looks.... they tried to go too realistic too soon, in such a large scale game... thats what resulted in the ugliness.
Given the choice between a game with great gameplay and old graphics or one with great graphics, I go with the one with better graphics because it adds to the experience. However if I feel like playing a certain type of game and the older one has better gameplay, I go with that. Graphics don't repulse me, they can only add to the experience, the only way for them to ruin the game is if they literally make it unplayable due to bad visibility.
Really? I mean the game sucks because of the boring, generic gameplay, terrible pacing, and awful voice acting, but despite not being very good the graphics were tolerable. The Conduit

Most of PS1 games they looked really bad in 3D. The 2D PS1 games they looked good.
For 2D the only ones I'm repulsed by are 2600 graphics or anything where I can't tell what is going on.
For 3D the only ones I can't stand is PS1 games because I sometimes can't tell what was going on and also I was spoiled by my N64 because they looked so much better then the games on PS1 IMO.
