Have you ever cried during a game?

MGS4 and Lost Odyssey have both made me a bit worried about the characters. I almost thought...

[spoiler] Meryl and Johnny were going to die when they were shooting against the never-ending horde of FROG soldiers on Outer Haven. I also felt a bit sad when Lirum died in Lost Odyssey. [/spoiler]

i cried when i was playing Call of duty 4 and the black guy from my team died :cry:polishkid99

And no. No, no, no. The only time I ever cried from a book, movie, or video game is... Lilo and Stich. Yes, yes, I know... But I was very little at the time.

I came close to with Max Payne 2's ending though.

Nope. The closest I've ever came was the end of Crisis Core...Even though I knew what would happen.

I often feel sad when a character dies or something, but I've never cried.

Why would i cry because of game ffs

Only time i "cried" but not cried i was just verry sad and few tears were almost out is when i watched ANIMATED MOVIE CALLED

When i though Master Chief died the tissues were out, But when i found out he was alive lets just say the extra strong tissues were out.

MGS4 ending when otacon was talking with sunny about snake. thats when i shed a tear.

I think i teared up at the end of FF10.

Yeah, I did. I paused it and started eating some Mexican food, and it was incredibly spicy. Next thing I know, I was crying while blasting aliens in Gears. It felt pretty strange, but I couldn't stop eating. It was so delicious.

Yes, FF7 aerith scene and when i finished Assassin's creed i cried because i wasted money on that lousy game.

No, I wasn't that emotionally invested in COD4. Games Like Metal Gear and Final Fantasy do a much better job of getting to you, emotionally. I had fun playing it though. I guess it depends on what kind of games you played before COD4 to recognize the difference.

I just figured both games were half a year old so....you know.

I shed a tear for the pure epicness of the [MAJOR MGS4 SPOILERS] Fight scene ontop of outer haven Old Snake VS Liquid Snake. SO BRILLIANT!PsyKosis

I've cried 4 times in video games. Ranked in order from most tear inducing to least tear inducing

Final Fantasy 7 Crisis core... Zacks ending was so deep and touching. we all knew he was going to die, but not in such a glorious and beautiful way

Metal Gear Solid 3... the boss... flowers... beautiful

The Darkness.... in the orphanage, remembering all his memories... then they killed Jackies girlfriend... the whole story was touching, and then he commit suicide over it.

Metal Gear Solid 4... almost all of the ending except the wedding bit. especially the amazing last fight.

Can't say that I have. Cry? I find it difficult to even care for these silly polygon-people. Either they don't portray emotions well enough by looking bad or having shoddy animations, or they're just plain silly. I don't find them believable. That and I guess most designers simply don't know how to set up scenes and make players respond emotionally.

And people here need to learn themselves the spoiler code for ****s sake. Just barely dodged that minefield of MGS4 spoilers.

Master Chief SHOULD have died. It would have been the perfect ending, but i suppose they didnt have the guts to kill off a character who could go on to secure millions more in profits.

I cried during the endings to MGS1 and MGS3, and almsot cried during the ending to MGS4. Yeah... the Metal Gear series has a special place in my heart. :)TheLordHimself

legend of zelda ocarina of time made me cry because the game ended

But yeah, I have come close, but never did. I don't even cry in the most emotional movies.

The closest I came to crying was Lost Odyssey. Didn't really cry though...I was just sad.
