This is just a poll. Apparently someone recently used in an argument with me that they've never heard of PS2's ever being defective (when comparing it to the "terrible problems" of the 360). I'm just curious, vote "yes" if you have at some point heard of hardware reliability being and issue with PS2.osusfaith:S..., I had like 3 ps2 :S, xbox360 isn't different tho', but for me my first and only 360 have worked cool.
:lol::lol::lol:
I really am hopeful that you meant PS3... :|
I got stuck with a DRE "launch" fat PS2 that died right after the warranty expired. Even if it were still on warranty, it would have cost me 50 USD to get it fixed by Sony. I had to open it up and fix it myself, to little success. It still plays PS2 games, but it fails when it comes to DVD movies, dual-layer DVD PS2 games, music CDs and PS games.
I REALLY hope you meant PS3... I smell massive ownage on the horizon.
Mine's on the brink of doing that :( Having a hell of a time actually reading PS1 games. Sometimes takes four or five rubdowns and restarts to get Xenogears running.My PS2 stopped reading CDs a long time ago.
Meaning older ps2 games and PS1 games.

Personally my fat PS2 still works perfectly.
But only a fool doesn't know about the infamous DRE PS2 problems.

PS2s had a common fault with the disk drives- scratching disks was one issue but the main one was that the disk drives would eventually stop reading games etcCwlHeddwynFunny how Sony sold 100 plus million but alot alot of people bought 2 or more

Percentage wise it wasn't as big of a problem. Not when you think of all the PS2's that did work just fine.
Even if 3% of that number was faulty thats not really alot of PS2's compared to all of the ones that worked fine.
You would think that with all of the red light talk on the 360 most of them don't work. Mines works just fine.
