Have you jumped ship? (Xbox fans)

I currently own all three next gen consoles and REALLY like the 360 most of the three for many different reasons, but lately the missing pieces for PS3 that made me prefer 360 more have been rapidly falling into place and many of my friends have either been jumping ship (Selling or trading in their Xbox 360 for a PS3) or denouncing their prefrence of 360 over the PS3 (Those who own both). MGS4 launched and is easily my favorite game this gen and is the ONLY AAAE title on ANY next gen console, firmware v2.4 will launch in days bringing the PSN even closer to LIVE in terms of community and features and many of the bigger PS3 titles have yet to launch. While I enjoy all three cosnoles for what they offer I do prefer 360 the most and still see it being my preferred console of choice, but I wanted to see if there were 360 fans who have the urge to switch sides or are getting swept up in the new PS3 rush? I admit while not converting me, lately I have been paying alot more attention to my PS3 and any news about the console due to the over whelming improvements it's made. So what are your thoughts? Have any of you jumped ship or have the overwhelming urge to do so?

i didnt read you post because i need to go in a sec but i personally prefer the xbox 360 over the ps3 ( i own both )

i just think the xbox is more enjoyable as a gaming console while the ps3 is more business and more of a showcase of features that i dont really need

Exactly. Why would I jump ship when there's something I like about all the consoles? Are you suggesting that since the 360 is being outsold by the Wii (and sometimes the PS3), that it is no longer fun?

Same here. There are some PS3 games that I have purchased, and I will definately be getting LBP. Still, I really bought a PS3 for the Blu-Ray player. 80%+ of my gaming is still done on my 360.

I didn't say 360 was sinking, just that alot of people tend to get caught up in excitement when new things come out or happen. I recently had a party at my house Saturday evening which caused the thought of this topic to pop in my head. A few of my gaming buddies came over who all own a 360. Two of them own both and two of them only own a 360. So the topic of MGS4 came up and we all agreed how good it was and my one friend stated "Yea PS3 is DEF the best console out now. I never play my 360 anymore" This was from a guy who proclaimed he'd NEVER get a PS3 and in turn he went out and bought two of them! So one of the guys who only owns a 360 was like "Yea I was thinking of trading my 360 in towards a PS3. It just seems like a better console" So it got me thinking about the situation.

Indeed I own all three as well. I'm asking even if you own both or all three and favored 360 more do you feel that recently you favor PS3 more or are starting to?

That's my stance. I have played a few PS3 exclusives and enjoyed them. I own a few Blu-ray movies and enjoy those but mainly (about 80 percent) of my gaming is done on 360. The reason I ask is cause I see people who claimed 360 their preferred console starting to choose PS3 over the 360 and with v2.4 coming to PS3 things are REALLY starting to pick up for PS3.

Nope.

Xbox360 pretty much has the games and genres I'm mostlty interested in. Eventually I'll buy a PS3 for the occasional PS3 game and exclusives. But my 360 is basically my prime console this gen. And with a price drop looming around the corner, I'm picking up a second 360 for the hell of it (or in case I get a RROD).

I see a lot of people jumping ship nowadays.

Of course, when the next big exclusive for the 360 comes out, the rush of sentiment will head that way.

I like how people are ignoring this post. I've played metal gear solid 4, and I love it just as much if not more than most (Almost got all the emblems now). My favorite game so far this gen is an AA exclusive for 360 (Dead Rising). Just because a game is AAAA exclusive does NOT mean game over, in any single way.

I have owned a 360 since sept 2006 and have just recently taken hold of a PS3, I love both, but all my friends have 360's with live,

MGS4, Motorstorm and GT5: P are stunning
