Yep I jumped ship. traded in my 360 and games for the PS3 MGS4 bundle. I am going to miss some of the games I owned but I can play Gears 2 on my PC. I could not keep the 360 as my wife was nice enough to let me purchase a JDM Supra (my dream car).

I was a fan of the Xbox 360 a while back, but I've become a PS3 fan lately. It's starting to really pick up.Zaeryn

You guys make me laugh.. The PS3 finally gets a game worth buying, and FW 2.4 puts PSn on par with XBL and you say it's picking up? I call that CATCHING UP.

Yeah kind of like my supra catching up to a Lada.

Ps3 is still my fav.

Ps3's online is still a little shaky, with echoe mics(xbl still has this, for me anyway), but with in game xmb coming, its up to par with xbl, which now i wont have to buy, until Gears 2.

Ps3 has my fav game this gen- MGS4

But, that said, the 360 still has some games i still have to buy.

The 360 is the best suited system for me and my favorite for many reasons, despite the recent success Sony has been garnering.

First, it has the best games that interest me. Regardless of AAAAE or not, MGS4 just isn't a spectacular game for me (don't get me wrong, it's a hell of a game) and is currently the only PS3 game I own. My 360's gaming library is around 30 or so games. Now, that doesn't mean I think the games on 360 are better than the ones on PS3, I just prefer the franchises on the 360 and enjoy those games more.

Secondly, Firmware v2.4, while being a big step forward for Sony, is nowhere near as closely integrated as Microsoft's XBL Guide. For one, it's missing cross game invites, private chat, voice messaging, access during movies, and some other nifty features that the XBL Guide has. Also, Sony's failure to mandate it (I can see why, completely understandable) results in a sort of "half-ass" streamlined feature that doesn't really have the same caliber as the Guide.

Finally, my friends all have XBL and have no intention of "jumping ship" and as long as they're on my 360, it'll be my home base and priority for multiplats and my gaming experience.

But, that's just me.

Why?

The PS3 gets a high AAA game (MGS4) don't rely on GS only.

And the cows go all crazy.

The new update is a positive step but its an add on and not something thats part of it dna like Xbox Live.

Whoever jumps ship is doing so prematurely.

And will regret it.

Having both is the way to go.
