so you mean weaker always the winner ?
I say why they are winner is because the strategy they use, and the product they produced
also, as I valued the most: the charisma of the console itself

i love when logic backfires ;)
Actually it equates to a Wii win, which is what is happeningi think itll do well for a while... i just dont think wiimotes are practical for every game.
Oh, definately not. But control pads aren't practical for every game, and neither are kb+m. There's really no 'perfect' control scheme, unfortunately. The handling of the Sega Saturn was terrible....... way to expinsive compared to the ps1 and Sega didn't believe Americans liked RPG's so sega didn't release any RPG's in the NTSC/PAL format. Bad marketing decisions and timing had killed the sega saturn. Wasn't because it was to powerfull though. nic0008
Its probably clearer cut to say the most expensive console has never won. Who won the SNES vs Genesis power debate anyway? My friends who had a SNES were always saying it was more powerful but I thought my Genesis had just as good graphics if not better. Just look at Virtua Racing it's teh 3D!
[QUOTE="haris12121212"]Well, less powerful = smaller price = more user buying that console = more 3rd party support for that console.VasichkoSo in this case the 360 = more power + lesser price + more 3rd party support? Huh, how has 360 a lesser price, its more expensive than the Wii. What I'm saying is a console is cheaper cause it got cheaper hardware right? (Wii situation), cheaper price will make ppl buy it 'cause it's not expensive. The more ppl buy it the more 3rd party developpers will support the console. Example: PS1, Graphics where better on N64 but the Ps1 was less expensive than N64, that made ppl buy the PS1 and since the Ps1 had more gamers than the N64, the developpers worked the most on the PS1. Same goes for PS2, just replace the PS1 for Ps2 and N64 to GC and Xbox (Now of course this is "general" exclusives and stuff like that influence the sales also)
[QUOTE="Mu5uk0"]The gap's never been as big as it is with the Wii vs 360 and PS3.Davis092Orly? Actually I agree with him. Wanna try to prove him wrong (Cause I don't remember a gen that had bigger graphical gap difference)

That's why some games let you use the GCN or classic controllers instead of the Wiimote, i mean honestly, say what you want, but 120 Million PS2's dont lieR-Dot-Yung
120 PS2s sold does not mean there are 120 million PS fans. Two versions of the PS2 were released, and most fans bought both (I bought both), and plus the console is very cheap, so some families own more than one console. I bought my sister a pink PS2, but she obviously wouldn't be able too afford a PS3. The SNES was a sales success, but the N64 wasn't

DS has N64 graphics, PSP has PS2 graphics. So thats a big graphical gap.
But I don't think any home system have been this far apart in graphical capabilities

Plus don't use handhelds, I was mainly talking about consoles here. As for handhelds the difference in PSP and DS in graphics is much larger than Wii-PS3/Xbox360
What about the SNES, it was the most powerful of it's gen and it won.Master_Hermesgenesis has a higher clock speed than the snes.. but the snes had mode 7, great sound hardware, and other good stuff.
