You don't really know that. Some people are only has good as the people they have working for them. Look at NGS for the PS3 it scored better than NG2. But Itagaki did not have anything to do with it.

Hayashi is going to be the new man at tecmo. he's very disciplined hard working and silent and not arrogant like itagki. i know this because. last year when sigma was released on the Ps3 if you bought the limited edition it came with a documentary on tecmo and it show how team ninja conducted themselves while working and on there leisure time. the dvd had an interview with tecmo Pres. and he said how the company was getting ready for Hayashi to take over one day. that day came sooner than any one thought.

it also showed how all the guys at team ninja go to the bar and get drunk after work but hayashi would have one drink get up go sit by himself and finish some of his office work while Itagaki and co. are trying to sing karaoke after downing a gallon of beer.

Hes done an excellent job on Sigma and when asked "was the PS3 hard to develop for"? he laughed and then replied NO its like a little puzzle at first but then it was real easy. its a great machine."

even though im a sony fanboy. Lems shouldn't feel distressed over Itagaki leaving, tecmo wanted this loser gone after NG2 was finished anyway. because if they thought he was important to the company, what happened wouldn't have happened.

you'll still get DOA and NG3.but this time it will be done right. and with out the smack talk. i just hope for multi-plat :D

All Hayashi has done is give an engine overhaul to a game that has already been designed, developed and polished. There's nothing else he really had to do. I guess he added a couple new weapons and enemies. But how do you compare someone who does that to the person that created the game from scratch?

you guys are being silly. let him prove he too can take a BLANK CANVAS and create something new and amazing. So far, all he's done is show us he can successfully trace his work.

The problem isn't solved. Did you forget that Tecmo is being sued? That isn't good for the company's image, especially if they're found guilty, and need to pay up. Not only that, but Itagaki's departure could cause other members of his team to leave.

Hayashi clearly has talent (Itagaki wouldn't have entrusted the Sigma port to him otherwise), at least in terms of graphical engineering, but it remains to be seen whether he can craft a completely new game on his own. Sigma was as good as it was because a lot of the basic framework (the levels, the enemies, the AI, the controls) were already there from an excellent product that Itagaki supervised. Considering that Tecmo hasn't really created anything of consequence that hasn't come out of Itagaki's Team Ninja studio in a number of years, they're definitely in trouble.

I am not saying he did not help. All I am saying is that whole no I in team thing. He may be great like Micheal Jackson when he left the Jackson 5 or he could be David Lee Roth after leaving Van Halen. Some people are great going off on their own and starting over again. But others need a great team behide them. Or it could just be I am very tried and have no idea what I am saying.
