Using Bungie's blastacular Halo 3 as an example, Haze scriptwriter Rob Yescombe believes that "while Halo is brilliant, you're a teenager - the next-gen is about becoming more mature," explaining that "in Haze you become an adult.

Don't really agree with that statement, but hey, why can't he have his own opinion? Rob is known for being very... eh, talkative. Putting his foot in his mouth. Want proof? Watch the end of of Gamespots PAX 2007 coverage video thing. They interview Rob Yescombe. After you watch that, you'll see what I mean about Rob.

By the way, FRD has an extremely sarcastic sense of humor. They don't really think it was the worst game ever, come on. :|

Whether you do or not, I don't think it's cool for game devs to hype their games by insulting what's "hot" or whatever.

And for the developers of TIMESPLITTERS to be claiming the high ground in terms of storytelling and maturity. Dude wtf.

Haze scriptwriter Rob Yescombe is about to become very unpopular with just about anyone who has an Xbox Live account. He recently poked the fanboy nest when he told Edge magazine that he thought of Halo as "brilliant, but you're a teenager" and suggested that the Free Radical shooter he's working on is more "mature" stuff.

It's about what's happening in the world today - it's ludicrous, and how can you make something that doesn't reflect that? Well, you could bury your head in the sand and make Halo 3, but the fact of the matter is there are more important things at stake.

Big fan of Timesplitters, but something about this game doesnt feel right, it looks great, sounds good in concept, but it seams underwealmig in some respects, its hard to put my finger on what doesnt seam right, because i saw some videos of gameplay, and the animation was amazing, especially, the weapon stealing one.

Its a game im watching, im not expecting anything as good as timesplitters though.

You know how videos look better than screenshots? Its the opposite for Haze; videos look like ****OGTiago

You think that might have something to do with pretty much all the videos for it being either low quality or cam footage? If you want to see how the game really looks, watch the dev diaries. There are little snippets of gameplay in those videos. The game looks just as good as it does in those pictures.

Only thing that interested me in it was the ability to fake your death. Other than that, looks kind of run of the mill. In all fairness, i've never really been all that excited about it though.
