[QUOTE="Riverwolf007"]The difference between HD and upscaled 480p resolutions is so small yet once you see the difference it's hard to go back, especially when it comes to television.
My older DVR will only hold around 15 hours of HD but I still choose that over recording any in the old resolutions.

...ya, it's like being enlightened or something of that nature.
 amen.that is pathetic.
You can just forget classic gaming then... some of the best games are from the SNES/Genesis era and your eyes will burn because of their graphics. Appreciate something for its art and style, not just for its technical attributes.

paying 2000 dollars for a PC is lame.
Following the false thought that every computer must be $2000 to be considered good is lame. Try cutting half of that. I did. You end up with a machine that can't even run Crysis on High. It's even more disappointing when you find this out AFTER you spent the money.I did. You end up with a machine that can't even run Crysis on High. Yeah, cause everyone that plays PC games have rigs that are superior to the 360 ...
its really cheap to surpass a 360 and ps3 these days

paying 2000$ for LED fans and a case that can perform light shows to the beats of Daft Punk with lasers and strobe lights attached to the case dont get you any extra frames per sec in crysis.
Super Mario Galaxy looks really good. The more you get into it, the more you appreciate its beautiful, flashy visuals. I think the excellent use of colour plays a big part. They really used their imaginations to make the most of the Wii's capabilities too.

I agree. well i wouldnt want to see a real looking mario. Nintendo's first party characters are meant to look cartoonish. I can get back to playing first party games for the gc and wii even if i play my ps3. The first party games aim for its artstyle rather than realism. Kinda like how some ppl dont appreciate the artstyle for windwaker.
If i want realism, i will turn to my ps3.
However , starfox 64 and super mario 64 still impress the crap out of me :P
To me, Super Mario Galaxy destroys everything on the 360 in terms of graphics except Kameo and Viva Pinata. What can I say, I like color. :Pyellowandmushy
Well... whatever fits your bill. You'd be in the minority though.
To TC, that happened to me too. I don't bother with my PS2, GC, or N64 anymore. It's just not fun.

Good to hear he just wasted 2000 dollars. I wonder why most ppl prefer a console. 400-500 dollars out of the box, and superior games. Not a hard choice.

You're a casual. :D
I became a graphics lover. Ever since I got my 360 2 weeks ago I hate horrible graphics. I tried to play PS2 game it felt like my eyes were burning. I tried to play Mario Galaxy it couldn't play that either. The PS3 and 360 have destroyed me playing games with bad graphics. Suliman-Uchia
Just do not use a HDTV with old gen consoles, in a old CRT games look fine

I'm still using my old Antec SX1030 (though with a new TruePower Trio 550) that I've been building in for years.
Also, you just got "Daft Punk Is Playing At My House" stuck in my head. ;)

I hear this all the time, and I still play on standard definition all the time.
...I just saved up enough money to buy an HDTV though, so maybe that will change. Should be arriving here in 5 business days.
Same for me. I can't read text on standard TVs anymore..xsubtownerxya its way too small, graphics wise not really but that text is killin me

Many people including me aren't having any problems running Crysis on it so stop complaining or get it fixed.
yeah im playing mgs 1 on my ps3 and hdtv and saw how crappy it looked and I figured "well it is a ps1 game" but then i saw some pics on the internet and it looks much better than what my hdtv is projecting. Even when I put smoothing on it still looks like crap.
regardless the game has still been incredible
PS: are you using composite cables for your wii? this can be the reason why smg doesn't look good on your hdtv, get these cables and it will look great

I actually thought MGS1 looked really good on my TV. Some games I have a problem playing due to the graphics, but MGS1 was fine.
