What an amazing story my wife who usually gets bored watching me play games watched me play every second of this game. This has been the only game whereI actually regretted some of the decisions I made and no game has ever made me that involved in the story. What an intense experience! We were talking about movies with friends and my wife said remember that one movie where thekiller drowns children in rain water lol I was like that's Heavy Rain :P anyone sceptical about this pick it up asap

The non QTE controls and the stiff character movements are the only thing I can bash about this game....

I loved this game and I don't even care about the controls. Playing the original REs fixed that.

Same here, I was playing Heavy Rain from Friday to Sunday last weekend and whenever someone came over their eyes were glued to the tv for about 15 minutes before they said something. I couldn't stop playing this game, I've never been so sucked into a game in all my life. There was NO part where i wanted to take a break and the game didn't even have multiplayer :P. With all big games being RPG or FPS nonstop a game like Heavy rain is rare and It included Guns, good graphics, moments where I was on my toes because I cared about the 4 characters and I liked how they made the twist and many outcomes and endings.

*possible spoilers

Don't accept the drink you go through the appointment, Do accept the drink, wake up with the doc getting ready to drill a hole through you :o

The thing I didn't like about this game was some plot holes and using R2 to move your character in the way his head is facing.

Can't wait for the DLCS :D IMO this deserved a 9/10, it saddens me how overrated games score higher than this.

Heavy Rain has taught me that interactive movies can be enjoyable if you interact with them

It hasn't drawn me in at all. The voice acting is beyond horrible and is very distracting to me. I pulls me out of the game every time I hear someone speak.

Surprisingly, I like the QTE's, I think they are fun and very well implemented into the game. Character control is busted and I really wish devs would get past tank controls in these types of games. It's annoying as hell and the technology is good enough for us to be past that.

Overall, It's a better game than I expected, but the presentation fails to impress me, leaving me somewhat perplexed at all of the gushing over it.

I'd love to get it, as soon as I have money. The demo impressed me, left me wanting to play it.

The whole reason the game kept me hooked was because my decisions mattered. The story was decent, the voice acting a little spotty at times, and the graphics were great. The thing that made this game so compelling was how much your choices actually mattered. Im so used to messing up in games and getting the option to restart the level, but in heavy rain when you mess up, you have to live with your choice.

I already plan on replaying soon, possibly before GOW 3 comes out.

I expected it to be completely atrocious going in, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it was made out to be.

It's definitely not the best, particularly some of the supporting cast (I'm looking at you Lauren, Shaun), although the main cast is generally okay, and really there's quite a bit worse out there.

Lol. My wife is not a huge gamer but she has been watching me play this game ever since I bought it. Its very intense in some parts and it leaves me literally on edge with some of the choices you have to make. I love it. I find myself clutching the controller and sweating after some tough decisions.
