It was never meant to be... :) Not to knock anything about the game but they pretty much had alot of spes to help process graphics calculations from rsx and not much physics and a.i so it looks great but it doesent even top KZ2.

Console graphics king =/= real category that belongs in System Wars.

However it does work as a term to make the SW world go 'round, it seems, since Crysis crushes everything and from a visuals standpoint has effectively ended System Wars in the "WHICH GAME IS GRAPHICS KING" respect. :P

With that being said, back to the topic. Heavy Rain is not the console graphics king, for sure. What is? I'd say Uncharted 2. But let me throw out an odd personal choice to add to that: Lost Odyssey. Beautiful game through and through, IMO.

i completely agree. i thought the graphics were average at best. uncharted 2 blows this game away graphically

because 360/PS3 owners like tocompare graphics all the time...two pretty evenly matched consoles power wise so what's wrong with it...just like GS likes to mention console exclusive.....console graphics king and console exclusives both exist

the terms exist...but should they in a forum where the pc counts as much as any console? by saying console exclusive or console graphics king you are selectively removing only one system.

never said the game sucks....I loved the demo but I remember seeing many threads hyping HR for it's graphics and after playing it they are not what they once seemed w/ bullshots

Yes it cannot be even compared to games that are in much more of a real time rendering. This is a guided experience.

really though, its a demo and the xbox gamer tag but lack of ps3 gamertag doesn't help your credibility. all the scenes ive seen look awesome but i haven't played the demo and i question if the demo is indicative of the final game as often demos are compressed to make them easier and quicker to dl (ala GT time trial)

So whats the point of ever talking about advancements in console graphics, should we just talk about Crysis all day:? Not only is the game visual quality subjective, but the majority of the people here don't even have a PC to run it on max settings

Thats why its called CONSOLE graphics king, and not graphics king. Its basically saying Crysis is the best looking game. Which is subjective imo

while i do think heavy rain will be the best, most original ,and awesomegame of 2010, i dont think it beats out uncharted2 in terms of graphics

I hope PS3 fans do not hype it as such anymore.....after playing the demo ( which I loved! ) the faces and the facial animations are the only thing worth mentioning....FNR4 has better character models than this game.
