Am I the only one impressed by the gameplay video? It seemed unique and interesting.. well to me at least. Hopefully ti doesn't get boring fast. phatkav

No, the majority of gamers are impressed. It just doesn't seem that way because the lemmings now feel cornered and are lashing out en masse.

[QUOTE="Soulja_West"]After looking at the new Heavy Rain gameplay movie, Alan Wake no longer looks that impressive.blitzkid1

Alan Wake doesnt look imperessive , OKAY, does heavy Rain have effects such as tornadoes, rocks sliding down hill, realtime water effects, day, evening andnightime events, i could go on but if Alan Wake looked that good in 2006, i cant imaginew how its been upgraded. So you were qatching a gamplay video all i saw was quick time button presses and pretty graphics.

Nobody knows because we've only seen one short trailer so far. But as for "water effects"...there is clearly rain in a couple of those pics and they look better than the rain in AW.

Cool graphics, but will need to wait for actual gameplay and interviews behind development. I think a lot of you are pre-judging and getting trigger happy with your hate comments. Here's a suggestion: Get over yourselves. It's like what...30 seconds? We don't know what else you ahve to do in the game.

Why would i need a ps3 what game on ps3 has won GOTy, ill be waiting.

The PS3 has a high chance of winning a GOTY this year. MGS 4 is a high candidate.

It's on the ps3 and looks visually betterthan any xbox360 game, this cannot be allowed to pass.

Visually better looking games dont always be the best games, such as Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, LAIR, Ratchet and Clank.

Has everyone forgot how amazing Alan Wake looks?

Alan Wak not only looks good but it has awesome effects, such atornados and rocksfalling, tthe trees have shadows ect. Just to remind u of how Amazing it looks here a trailer from just 2 years ago i wonder how it looks now

I don't know. We will have to wait and see but if Heavy Rain was to have effects such as tornadoes, hurricanes and such and such, I bet you it would look more detailed in Heavy Rain then in Alan Wake.

I can sense that this is pointless as all hell, but try reading up on the game. Try playing Fahrenheit. Try understanding why people fancy the idea of an atmospheric, mature thriller. Perhaps if you weren't so busy whining about graphics you'd realize that Alan Wake is one of those as well. What makes Heavy Rain intriguing is perfectly summarized in Fahrenheit's diner scene, or the Heavy Rain scene Quantic Dream has been demonstrating to the media.

The question was whether HEAVY RAIN showed certain things. I pointed out the rain in the HEAVY RAIN pics. RAIN is also water and since that is gameplay pics then it must have realtime water effects. And yes, they look better than AW which you have said also contains realtime water effects.

Or is rain not considered "water" in lemming land?

All video games are scripted. You will never have total control in a video game unless they implant a chip in your brain and you are free to do whatever you want to do.

Even free-roam games are scripted because you notice the same animations for blowing up cop cars, bodies flying, car wrecks, etc.

Its an adventure game...what the hell did you expect?

WIDE OPEN Gameplay?

Heavy Rain will be about presentation, story, characters, etc

I am interested. So long as the game doesn't pull an indigo prophecy....

Great game, just too much of a nosedive at the end.

yes, and admire the amazing character models, easily blowing Heavy Rain out of the water.

Hmmm....let's have a comparison shall we?

Alan Wake

Vs.

You insist Alan Wake is so graphically awesome yet both these pics are the game in action. What am I missing...because it looks to me like HR is way more detailed and realistic and graphically impressive than AW.

This is the truth..

Talk all you want about the gameplay of heavy rain.. whatever. But it clearly has the best character models of any console game this gen.. hands down.

Your fanboy goggles are on too tight... Alan Wake does not compare in the slightest.

I really don't see a problem, and that was one part of the game. I'm sure there will be lots of exploring to do. It's an adventure game and when I say adventure, I don't mean jumping and swinging a huge sword at bad guys, I mean like the old adventure games on PC, like The Longest Journey.

Show me one character model from Alan Wake IN GAME that looks better than what we've seen from Heavy Rain. Oh wait, you can't because there are none. Meanwhile, the best screenshots you've shown are all his-res shots of the PC version and not the game running on 360.

So you've got nothing. You are using BS and PC game shots to cover up the fact that HR is the best looking console game BY FAR. NOthing on the 360 comes close...despite years of lemmings insisting the PS3 can't possibly make better graphics than the 360.

And even despite your use of PC shots, HR is still better looking than what you are showing.

So Heavy Rain has enviroments like these

thanks for pc version screenshots...

I approve this ownage.

That Alan Wake image is from 2005. It is three years old. 3 years. The most recent screenshots are two years old. Now would you please stop these moronic comparisons?

[QUOTE="Kahuna_1"]Stop posting PC games and stop complaining, you are not even going to play the game. Go play the JRPGs you love and the ones you are going to love.blitzkid1

He said it looks better than even the PC version i just asked him does heavy rain have anything that looks as good.

Yeah it looked better than the first pictures you showed. I believe the PC version will look great, and I believe Heavy Rain will look great.

He thought you were trying to defend the graphics argument for Alan Wake.

Seems like it? Or does this not count because it I don't have pics taking place in the middle of the woods. At least MY pics show the game in motion instead of just renderings with no characters or action taking place. If I didn't know any better, I'd say those pics are just concept art.

Yeah I know. Comment still applies. Y'all's "arguement" is beyond idiotic.

Resident Evil 5 looks better than heavy rain.
