4K/60 requires a beast of a PC for any game to run at those specs. Unless we're talking something like LoL or WoW, or just Low settings across all sliders.
Don't really care. I'd get this game if it ran at 480p. I love Ninja Theory's games. Enslaved was brilliant.

The game looks very demanding and extremely good looking. Didn't know about this until now. Might get it for PC since I have a 1440p monitor anyways. At least my pc might pull off better visuals than the pro at that resolution.

Since you and I have both 1440p monitor & GTX 1070, it's worth playing on PC for stable framrates and anything on PC is always gonna be better then console. (depends who you ask)

I wont go so far as to say brilliant, but I think you and I may be the few that are entertained by their games.

Include me on that list! And ya, no way I'd call it brilliant. Good game though.

The relationship between Trip and Monkey, and to a lesser extent, Pigsy, is what I mean by "brilliant". Plainly speaking, those three broke my heart. Granted, I'm sensitive. But still. They did the trick, and I love the game for that.
@AdobeArtist: Mad Max is pretty easy to run at 4K/60fps. Best optimized game I've seen in years.
You're gaming with an i7 4790K and a GTX 1080, Ti no less. You think it's "easy" for people to afford that kind of hardware??
You in no way contradicted what I originally said; running high production games in 4K/60 takes substantially beefy hardware at significant cost. You can go with somewhat lower specs to play in 4K, at the sacrifice of frame rate and/or settings.
Expect 90% of this forum to say "yeah I got a PC and I'm playing it 4K 60fps, suck it PS4!"....yet only a tiny, tiny fraction of the western gaming population owns the PCs required to play it at its highest settings.
titan xp SLI
i7 7700K
mb,ram etc $$$$ VS 399 PS4
wat
It's the Unreal engine, and it's developed for consoles, it's not going to tax anything that much. They're making it sound like you need a machine powered by a Satan CPU, cooled by Holy Water, powered by SLI Zeus GPUs, an Infinity Stones worth of Memory, and a PSU with Allah's wattage.
With that said, running anything on PC at 4K/60FPS is going to require a "beast" of a machine. Is it going to require more of a beast of a machine? No, don't be silly. They're just trying to hype the game up, make it seem "more 4K" than other games.

That's about as strawman of an argument as you get.
Nobody is going to argue which is the cheaper platform to play games on, but a lot of the posts here are talking about overall quality and what platform games are generally better on. Deflecting to "well nobody owns a PC that can beat the platform" is just a strawman.

My GTX 1070 can actually play 4K games (and a hell lot better then X1X) and yes, you got to dial down those settings to get that proper framerates.
Lucky for me, 1440p/60fps is all I need and it's all I really want to do until we see a single GPU achieving 4K/60fps in the not too distant future.

Powered by Unreal Engine 4, which is trouble for current AMD GPUs.

Based on what game comparison? The game is powered by UE4 which falls under X1X's game engine profiled list.
1440p is fine but its not 60fps. The article says PS4 Pro users can choose between 60 fps or higher resolution it doesnt say u can have both. I dont own a 4k monitor and dont intend to buy one any time soon as id rather have 1440p@60, hell even 1080p@60 over 4k@30 any day.
