I apologize if this was posted somewhere else.

I would LOVE to get all three of these games but I only have the cash for one at the moment.

All three look like bombshell open world games. I just want to ask someone who owns, or has played all three to pick a winner and to give a relatively detailed description why. I know InFamous got the best review of the three but I'm still split especially after playing the Red Faction: Guerrilla demo, the InFamous demo, and seeing some pretty hardcore Prototype footage.

Please Help!!! :?

I've only played infamous thus far and im on my thrid play through. I do wanna pick up prototype at some point, but at this point in time Red faction looks ok not enough for me to warrant a 60 dollar drop. So i'd saay infamous or prototype

It depends on what YOU wnt to play, however, in turns of replay value Red Faction: GUerrilla wins by miles.

no Dont say that prototype looks good, TC like the thrid poster said right now look at whats gonna give you the most replay value. Go read the reviews for each game. Though like I said I've played infamous its replay value is moderatly high. Red faction probably has alot, and not so sure about prototype

You can think about it. What type of game would be best? A sandbox game like prototype(I would choose prototype) or InFamous and RFG they are alike.

I have infamous and red faction both are good games but infamous wins out. It just holds your attention more and makes you want to keep playing, even after you beat the game. Red Faction is really cool, has good singleplayer, wrecking screw, and online multiplayer, but it just isnt a gripping game, good to pick up and play for a hour or two and move on for awhile.

Download Prototype, buy Infamous, wait a few months for Red Faction: Guerrilla to be released on PC then download. Problem solved.

RFG is the best. It offers the most replayability, too. It has a deep multiplayer.

Red Faction would be the better choice out of the three. You get a good long campaign with all three games, but you also get a good multiplayer with Red Faction so the replay value is longer. Either way you can't go wrong with either game, they all have their pros and cons.

Gamespot says Infamous is the best game out of those three, so you should buy it. There that was easy.

Cows will vote inFAMOUS as it's a gem in the PS3's crown. Lemmings will split there votes between Red Faction and Prototype.

Since there are more Cows, and the Lemmings votes are halvedm inFAMOUS will win. No contest.

I've played RFG and InFamous. I had the best time with InFamous (on 2nd playthough) and RFG has MP as well tho and its pretty fun too but the side-missions in RFG are by far more repetitive then InFamous.

So far the I'd give story and controls to Infamous as well. But the pure destruction factor in RFG make it really fun.

You'd be good going any which way with these titles but so far I'd say Infamous.

I actually own all three of these games...I guess it comes down to what your are looking for...

CRITICALLY, InFAMOUS is the best of those games, and it is probably the longest, however, I have yet to beat it a second time on the EVIL setting.

The Best RATED game is INFAMOUS, even though it's older than the other two, watch in the next few weeks to see what's still standing, but I can tell you it looks like InFAMOUS would be the one.

That being said, ALL THREE are good, fine games, so you can't go wrong. Also, Red Faction sports MP, which is a good thing, if you don't have a MP game on the side already (I do, COD, L4D, Warhawk, and GeoW2)...but if you have time for some more MP, Red Faction does offer that.

I bought all three, and I can choose one if I had too, so can many users. You assume everyone on these boards is part of a faction. Some gamers can just as easily look up the REVIEWS for themselves to see what to get.

There's the possibility that ONE, that's right, ONE of these games is actually better than the other two...who'd have thunk it?

How the heck can one game be better than the other two, is that even possible? There has got to be a way to figure that out!

Are critical acclaim and Rating not the same thing? And no way is inFAMOUS longer then the other too. It has much less things to do then Prototype, and although i don't have Red Faction, the MAP on that game looks huge, as fo the sheer amount of missions, and the fact it has multiplayer

In your breakdown, which was quite detailed, if left out any room for anything else, but fair enough. :)

Yes, they are, but I was being redundant, as some people don't read well on these boards. You did quite well though.

As far as MP, you are absolutely right, RF does have that, and although I dabbled, I haven't fully gone into it. As far as InFamous Length, I am a completionist, so it's quite long for me, especially with the TWO Different stories, powers, and different ending requiring two playthroughs...not to mention every sidequest being done. It's the only way to get a PLATINUM in the game.

Since Proto and RFG just came out, I have yet to fully invest as much time, but that's the only because InFAMOUS got released early. Like I said though, All Three are good, fine games, so have at it.

I've only played the RF demo but i thought it was pretty fun. I'll probably buy it when it's cheaper. Don't really care for the other 2 although my brother has Infamous so i might get around to playing that.

I havn't played Red Faction nor Prototype but have been playing Infamous. Im on my second playthrough now and my god, i never expected it to be this good. The story and the ending was just jaw - dropping, it has a really great ending. Nothing close to MGS4 of course, MGS is at its league of its on but for a new IP it totally suprised me. Animations are smooth, good voice acting, great story, music, pacing, lots of side missions, lots of things to collect/upgrade.etc for me infamous lasted with me for 20 - 25 hours, And im still playing and taking my time with the game, its an awesome game.

I have to say, Prototype is quite fun, and I'm surprised, but it's definately got a whole different, visceral vibe to it. Being that it just got released, I'm looking forward to all the differences the game has over InFAMOUS.

All these games are great choices though.

I'd say get inFAMOUS. I've already completed it twice, its just really fun to play. The controls feel smooth and responsive (I spent the first 3-4 hours just running around the city exploring just because of how much fun it was to climb around) and theres a really good level of polish to the game, you unlock new powers at just the right times so you'll never feel overpowered compared to the enemis your fightind and you wont bet bored of using the same ones all the time. Plus the story is amazing, it really sucks you in and keeps you guessing.

I just brought Prototype today, and whilst its also a fun game, it doesn't have the same level of polish to it that inFAMOUS does. The graphics are pretty poor in comparison and the story seems a little slow to start (although I think that it will pick up later in the game). Prototype does have a much more open world however compared to inFAMOUS, and traversing it is much quicker. Plus whilst the controls may feel a bit stiff (But that may be because I've been so used to the controlls on inFAMOUS) the combat is really satisfying and grusome and theres loads of powers and moves to chose from.

I can't really say much about Red Faction. I played the demo ages ago (like 3 weeks before it came out because I'm on THQ's mailing list and they sent everyone codes to DL it early.) and can't really remember it too well becuae I only played it for about an hour. I remember it being really fun to demolish buildings with the hammer and smack people with it but if I remember right the shooting mechanics felt really awkward and I got bored of it after a while (I never even bothered finishing the single mission in the demo.)

Open World games tend to have a hell of replayability but well even the almighty GTA:San Andreas got boring after a year or two lol , so I'd recommend the one with MP , if it's a great MP as RF:G's then go for it.Though if you are more into heroes , inFAMOUS is better than Prototype .

Infamous and Prototype look cool. I tried the Red Faction demo and it is really fun. I'm assuming that the single player campaign is good. Also, I bet the multi-player is fun. I guess if you can get confirmation on whether or not the multi-player of Red Faction is good, and if it's good then I'd get Red Faction. More replay value.

You seem to have a poll up with two multiplats and one exclusive to the PS3, on a site flooded with PS3 fanboys. I wouldn't pay much attention to it if i was you.

As it goes Guerilla>Infamous>prototype

Infamous is great but it's repetitive, your really..well weak for a super hero and it lacks replay value. Guerilla is also repetitive but has more variety than Infamous, story blows compared to Infamous but your a hell of a lot more powerful and it's a lot more fun blowing stuff up and killing bad guys with your weapons than shooting out 20 bolts of lightning to kill 1 guy. Guerilla also has the most underrated multiplayer around. Lots of replay value.

There's demos for Red Faction and Infamous, try those out first, and if you didn't like any of them, rent Prototype.
