Help me out - PS3 or X360?

You save more money in the long run with ps3. You get bluray player, and online gaming is free.

Maybe wait over E3 to see what exclusives sony and microsoft announce then decide?

I cant say about you but I have computer that produces better graphics and framerate than 360, so I usually play multiplats on it.

neither, you have waited this long and since the generation is 85% over at this point you are better off waiting for next gen.

hopefully next gen consoles will have backwards compatibility and you can play this gens big titles on the new system.

If you PC game, go with PS3.

If you don't, go with 360.

Better multiplats on 360 and more of them, much bigger library.

I mention this because you said you wanted to play Bayonetta, which on PS3 is schit.

That being said, PS3's main draw is the exclusives, which are superior and generally first class.

GoW3, Killzone, UC etc kick the crap out of Halo.

360 has almost no exclusives to boast, it's the same games you can get on PC.

All that being said

My gut feeling is you would enjoy the PS3 more.

It would be a big upgrade from the Wii graphically, and you would feel right at home with Move.

You would get access to the major multiplats, and the exclusives as I said are first class.

That's my judgement, get a PS3.

As has been mentioned already, not the best place to be asking this question, since the fanboys will be recommending their console of choice without taking your preferences into consideration.

If you're mainly interested in multi-platform games, then you may want to look at some of the features each console offers and possibly some of the exclusives. They both have their share of exclusive JRPGs, but I honestly don't think the majority will match the quality of Xenoblade Chronicles or The Last Story.

As a gaming console, i find 360 to be the best option, especialy for its massive library. From exclusives, to PS3/360 multiplats, PC/360 multiplats or downloadable games, it gets almost everything from everywhere. Graphics are similar and due to its dev friendly hardware, its also the saffer option for most multiplats.

That said, PS3 also has some fantastic exclusives, a bluray player and free online.

The Xbox will give you more games to play, but you can't go wrong with either decision this late in the ballgame. Either way, you'll have the option to play so many games that you just don't have the time for all of them.

PS3. Exclusives are great (VALKYRIA CHRONICLES :D), plenty of exclusives, the lucky models are backward compatible with PS2 and you don't have to pay just to connect to their online services like Xbox Live *sneers* :PSpinnerweb

I heard lots of bad opinions on X360 failure rate, but it's unverified if those who complain are gamers or thieves who modify the console in order to play pirated games. Also X360 has Kinect and its said that controller is much more ergonomical, compaired to PS3.

On the other hand PS3 has Bluray and its casing does not creaks when touched (X360 does - today I touched both systems in a shop and I must admit that PS3 is made of better materials)

SW is the absolute worst place to ask this question because its full of loyalist drones. As a completely fair and balanced poster, I'd say neither. Spend your money on a PC for way less than the price of a console + and HDTV and have 10 times the gaming experience!blue_hazy_basic

PS3 if you want epic games, the best console hardware and free online.

360 if you like having no games, like having terrible hardware and enjoy getting ripped off.

My advice is take a look at what system offers the exclusives you want and go from there, personally I would recommend a PS3 because it offers more high quality exclusives and FREE online and more relaible hardware, but that's just my preference.

Like I said take a look at the exclusives you want, which system your friends have, PSN (FREE) vs XBL (A little more social and integrated), which controller your more comfortable with ect....it all just boils down to preference.

This is probably the most honest answer your going to get on here, everyone in SW has an agenda.

Any moment lots of NEW games will pop up" - yeah, right... My 3DS games can be count on one hand's fingers - Zelda, DOA, Tales of the Abyss, RE: R, Kid Icarus... all of them (except RE) are remakes - nothing new.

Wii U may be cool, but I'm affraid Nintendo will screw me the way they screwed me with 3DS (yes, 40% price drop still hurts). And I wonder how long will the wireless screen controller last on single charge? Hopefully longer than 3DS.

Besides - what Nintendo has to offer? Candy Kirby or Mario (who acts like a pedophile)?Nintendo should go after brains allready and make a true next gen console with 3rd party support. Now they are allways one step behind others since N64.

sonner or later it will have games. and the vita will live at least 6to7 more years. the 360 and ps3 is ancient history. i think for people that still did not buy 360 or ps3 it is better to wait for wiiu. and i know vita has no games which is ppissing me off but in a year it will start getting some good software whereas after a year the 720 and ps4 will be on the horizon the the current gen consoles will die

i had the first problem when i first got the 3ds but now it is full of amazing games and i love it.

1 mario kart

2 zelda

3 resident evil

4 mario 3d land

5 cave story 3d

6 shinobi

7 sonic generations

8 tekken

also upcoming games

mario tennis, kirby, luigi masion and new super mario 2.

and im listing only the games i like there are so many games coming out for the 3ds. tho the price drop pissed me off too because i bought the system for full price

What is this, 2006? :lol: 360 uses DVDs as it's primary format, HD-DVD never took off.

Definitely a preference call. Look at the libraries and see what interests you.

If you're just tallying up votes to decide for you then PS3 all the way! Both systems are great and offer up a similar experience, but I prefer what the PS3 has to offer.

as someone who has both systems heres an honest evaluation of both

Xbox

+ better online service

+ good xbla games

+ controller is better for shooters

+ Multiplats have the edge more often than not(most aren't noticeable these days though)

-you pay for online, so only worth it if you play alot

-Netflix requires gold(ridiculous)

-Not many exclusives other than shooters and Forza(good xbla games though)

-Kinect sucks and thats what m soft is focusing on now....

PS3

+ Better more varied exclusives

+ better controller overall (personal preference)

+ free online

+ playstation plus is a hell of a value

+ psn games are also good

+ Netflix and other apps perform better at no extra charge

+Bluray Player

- Download Times are slower

- Some multiplats are noticeably worse (Bayonetta, Fallout, Skyrim), most are fine though

- Online is free, so don't expect a flawless experience. works for me though. depends on how much you play online

-Ps Move sucks, but at least they recognize it and put less emphasis on it
