Here's something...(RUMOR)

it looks as if Steven Spielberg might have enlisted big name director Neill Blomkamp to direct the pilot for Halo's upcoming television series. a couple of his more well known projects are District 9 and Elysium...this guy seems to have a good handle on the special effects needed to sell a Halo tv series after watching those two flicks. could be good.

seems like a strong move by MS.. its weird, people thought MS was just going to release a few games and say you can watch tv on Xbox and call it a wrap. no, MS seems to be coming hard with this. with their games along with tv/media and sports features, no halfass'n.

they're trying to get into living rooms in a multiple of ways. with no added subscription fees too boot....*cough* Playstation Now, Music Unlimited, TV app *cough*

SW laugh at the Xbox TV idea. Truth is that live TV is controlled exclusively by the cable/satellite providers. No tech company has been able to successfully infiltrate that industry. Microsoft wants a share of that pie. What the Xbox One has done for TV integration is far from perfect. However, it is a start. I can imagine Microsoft releasing specific version of Xbox One for each cable/satellite provider. E.g., Xbox One for DirectTV, Xbox One for xFiniti, etc. The gaming business has proven to be very tough to be profitable. One way out is to get additional revenue from non-gaming contents.

if the rumor does turn out to be true. it'd be interesting to see and definitely something to be hyped about. a good watch/listen....

when the PS3 passed xbox360 in high scoring games the spread sheet became a thing of the past. SolidTY was the only one who pointed out that it was flawed and needed updating because he noted the errors (showing xbox being ahead when it wasn't) and the member who were supposed to be keeping taps allowed it to be misrepresented when it failed to be a benifit to xbox fanboy arguments.

What they SHOULD have done (and what I expected them to do prior to the reveal of the Xbox One) was have a CABLE-CARD slot in the system and a full TV tuner, so people could just get a cable decoder card from their cable/satelite provider, and either plug the cable into the system (or use it as a reciever to their satelite transmitter).

Thats what they SHOULD have done. What they actually did, was ONLY have an HDMI passthrough. I have no fucking clue what they were thinking. I mean, the system has its own TV guide, it would have made sense. What is the point of using your cable box as an HDMI passthrough, just to do the same thing on the Xbox? What the actual ****?

The argment was no where to be found before that point beause from nov 2006 - may 2008 PS3 had no AAA+ games so lemmings came up with the "PS3 has no games" argument which dised any games that wasn't an exclusive AAA.

Lemmings only argued with AAA exclusive games before then, but when PS3 started popping out AAA exclusves and 360 was only getting halo/forza/gears they switched tunes to "most high rated games" and suddely wanted to include not only multiplat games but lowerd the quality thresh hold of "high rated" games from AAA to a laughable A rated ceiling as to xbox ahead through vertue of simply having more games released.
