3DS is a much more powerful handheld and offers 3D tech, so honestly i cant imagine it being launched at a very low/affordable price.. Probably as many others said it wont be cheaper than $249, but i wouldnt be surprised it will launch at $279-$299...If its accompanied by a very good launching line-up of titles it will still enjoy great sales..
As for the PSP2, i think we'll start reading much more on this handheld round end october/early november, cause Sony knows they need to grab the media / gamers attention considering the handheld market has always been dominated by Nintendo.. Sony needs to keep PSP fans interested in the PSP brand so showing them work in progress titles for PSP2, the PSP2 specs / design etc etc will keep them 'away' from getting a 3DS..

But honestly, what are they gonna have to do from a tech standpoint to deal with the 3DS. You can have it be more powerful, sure, but how are you going to deal with the "HOLY $@&! No glasses 3d!" effect the #DS si gonna have? And if SONY makes it mroe powerful taht probaly will come with a high price tag. I think SONY needs to get away from trying to make a cutting edge graphic wise handheld and focus on the actual games and gameplay.
i dont have answers :) i'm just a simple gamer lolHowever one cannot exclude the possibility Sony also has 3DTV's which dont require glasses, so they might also surprise us.. we'll have to wait and see what happens in the coming months..
Question:- is anybody else concerned that 3DS will suffer when played outdoors - referring to the actual 3D effects.. (you know with sunlight etc, i think it will effect the screen sharpness / 3d effects)
thats a very good question. I mean, handheld gaming in sunlight is already kind of iffy to begin with. you susaly have to be in teh shade or something, or not in direct sunlight. I hope 3D isnt going to have to be a Indoors only kind of thing with it. also, lets hope the Battery life is good.
