here's something you dont know about geow exclusivity

gears of war is owned by epic. microsoft owns the rights to the first two gears of war... after that epic can publish gears of war on any platform they choose, so it can possibly go multiplat (ps3)..

That far on in the console wars, I doubt anyone will really care...

By the time Gears 3 comes out, it will be the next generation. I don't expect Gears of War 2 to come out until 2009 or 2010.

I doubt it. They are talking about a planned trilogy on the 360, with Microsoft even saying to GameSpot "why stop at three?" Basically, Microsoft has this franchise locked down. It will never go to PS3.

Hmm, question: Will Epic be allowed to re release GOW 1 and 2 for the PS3 when GOW3 rolls around? Like, put all 3 games on one blu-ray disc, or re-release them normally? Not-A-Stalker

I don't think so because Microsoft was/is heavily involved in the development of those games. They financed most of the development cost of Gears and paid for all the marketing, and I'm sure they will do the same for the sequel. I don't think it's possible for the PS3 to ever see Gears 1 or Gears 2.

Yeah, people do that for good reason like incase MS hates them or they hate MS after game 1 for example. I think Epic will stick with MS unless they have reason to go multiplat like problems between the two or Epic wanting even more sales then they already have when 2 comes out.

And also one and two have been officially confirmed, 3 still hasn't been confirmed I believe

Btw... I thought Sony fanboys hated Gears and that it was "overrated" and "just graphics" why would you even want it? lol
