Well, the last time I checked, Crysis is on the PC only and it is not an RPG or an MMORPG, unless development has drastically changed in the last week.

The list below shows the most played games on PC according to Nielsen. Half of the games are over 4 years old and 2 of them date back to the 90s. It's also surprising that Halo dominates all FPSs on PC. (On a personal note, this justifies my opinion that Half-Life 2 wasn't a "great" game. It was good, not great.)

No one understands what I'm getting at! :evil: The PC has been around for a long time so it has more AAs and AAAs but they won't all always work. Like with PS1, PS2, PS3. You need to have your old hardware and you old versions of your OS to run old games.I'm sayingitsnot very reliable.

There is no such thing as not working old software on the PC. If you have really old games which have problems running under Windows XP and higher, you download a DOS emulator (DOSBox for example) and run those old games and applications through that and everything works as it should and I repeat, everything!

It's real cheap to asume something without knowledge.

EDIT: I have to add, that there is stupid people who just don't know to deal with the PC aside clicking on the Microsfot Word, Excel or Powerpoint icons. That said, when a game or a program isn't working for you, go google for a solution, there's a very very big chance you will find a solution to your problem.

Starcraft works like a charm on modern computers and operating systems btw, no additional software needed i.e. DOSbox or similar.

That's why there is internet and a google. I don't know what game you were running, but for example, I try to play Syndicate or Syndicate American Revolt, run the .exe under WinXP, get to the loading screen, everything freezes, I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL to kill the process.

I say: "OK wont work under XP", next I try to set the .exe to windows 95 compatibility mode (right click .exe file, set compatibility), done, try to run - same problem.... OK

I open up a web browser, go to google and type "How to run Syndicate under Windows XP", I get 1.000.000 search results with a sollution inlcuding links to DOS emulators and other stuff.

In the old days, you would open the engine compartment and try to find the problem as it's probably just some loose cables.

If something is not working, you don't abandon the stuff, you try to fix it, but yeah most people are as said, lazy snobs nowdays.

Wow, Warcraft? 1994? This is incredibly innacurate. Saying that Halo on Pc is more popular then Battlefield 2 is just stupid.

And for offline games such as the sims, that is hardly accurate. Do they ask random people, how many hours they play Sims 2? It's impossible to tell how long such games have been played.

I just recently played through it again, just because it's fun as hell. Some of those urban combat sequences get insanely intense.

I see this a the reason why there are so many GOOD PC games.

There is no doubt that the most popular PC games are years old. No one can disagree to that but it doesn't mean much or does it?

Halo: CE is popular on PC but it isn't more popular than the first Counter Strike, Battlefield 2 and 2142.

The fact that they have the original Warcraft listed should completely invalidate this list for everyone. According to Nielsons the game is played more then CS. Now I want somebody to come on here and tell me where are all these serversthe original Warcraft issupposedly being played on.
