the new blueray driver is only 9980 japanese yen, about $90 dollar

and 4X speed , better than ps3 2X speed

drivers are usually free ;)

you could buy that if you want one of 4 japanese BRs that you'd have to import anyway. Completely useless for gaming.

No more than DVD ROM drives were about five or six years ago though.

No reason to be happy..as I've no use for a Blu-Ray drive. With 1.5TB of HDD space, I don't have much use for a Blu-Ray writer, either >_> (could be nice for backing up data, I suppose)..

I've had 2 LiteOn drives in the past. They both failed before 24 months. Cheap for a reason.Marka1700

..what? LITE-ON is a really good brand for optical drives from what I've heard.

Never owned one, though. I have a couple Samsung drives myself..
