If you have money to burn then get a dell.Otherwise probably best to build your own.stvee101

As others said build your own. If you cant do that then RESEARCH the parts you want, order them, and have a local computer shop assemble them. You will save literally thousands of $$ and have superior parts than the Dell.

Put honestly building a computer isn't hard at all, problem is you haven't even tried to learn how to build one. The first step I took on building a computer was typing in "How to build a computer" into google, tons of articles, guides, and youtube videos out there. 12 year olds build comptuer(started at 14 myself), no reason why you guys cant either. I remember someone in another thread refer to it as big boy legos.

Perfect words just find what you like order them and take it to a local PC place im sure you got one near you i was going to do that but my Bro was the one that put it together for me and it wont be too pricey i think if you have someone do it for you or at least from what i remember idk lots of possibilities man lol

you are going overboard and wasting money. I recommend buying the parts yourself, even if you can't assemble it yourself you can find someone who will do it for cheap or even for free. However, if you don't mind the waste of money go for it. You will also miss the joy of tinkering with your computer and learning a few things. For CPU : going quadcore isn't worth it yet. For GPU: ATI 3850 and 8800GT are the best bang for the buck and will give you performance as much as cards costing more than 2 times as much. For OS: You don't need Vista yet.....I am not sure if we'll ever need it, I personally won't buy it for Alan Wake. For RAM: 2 Gigs is enough for XP Go to PC Hardware discussion, people there will give you the best components in detail and will find you the best deals.

when you build it yourself you don't actually have to build, just goto your local computer shop and talk to them and they will help you so you don't get the wrong parts (e.g. microATX case w/ atx mobo etc) and they will build it for you for like $70(AUD) dunno what it would be in american though.
even if it increases the price if you bought things off the internet its still a bargain compared to that dell!

Find a computer store like
www.ple.com.au

then pick your parts and pay them a small fee to build install and test. still is great vallue for money compared to buying a package
