F*** yeah. Saints Row the Third was sorely suffering from the lack of Johnny Gat.

[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"]Why not care about and love both?Who? :? Why should I care about Saints Row if GTA V is in the same year?
mems_1224
Next thing you're going to say parents should love all their kids equally.
For the people saying blah blah something GTA well to each their own. I have no doubts I will have more fun with Saints Row. So far I have enjoyed the 3 Saints Row games more then any GTA game. The two games take a very different approach to their open world games and they actually should not even be compared anymore since they are very different now.
Â
It does not even make sense that Gat is back but screw it it's Saints Row and shit is not supposed to make sense.
[QUOTE="heeweesRus"][QUOTE="mems_1224"] GTA hasn't had a new setting this entire gen. I guess GTA4 and 5 are just DLC using that stupid logic :lol:mems_1224Los Santos isn't a new setting? Did you not play San Andreas?

I don't get it.

Ah, okay. I've been owned.
[QUOTE="mems_1224"][QUOTE="heeweesRus"]Los Santos isn't a new setting?handssssDid you not play San Andreas? yeah, because the los santos in this game that's bigger than the entire map in san andreas and then some is going to really be the same thing... might as well just say Saint Petersburg Russia is identical to Saint Petersburg Florida. So what? Its GTA4 in a setting that was done last gen. Its even got the same landmarks. GTA 5 is basically just DLC using that other guy's logic.
Its not in the same city. "The game returns to the fictional city of Steelport from The Third, which will be redesigned as a retro-futuristic dystopia with elements of Washington, D.C. " a redesign is not gonna cut it[QUOTE="campzor"]SR4 could have been pretty amazing if it wasnt set in the same city. GTA5 smokes it tbhmems_1224

GTA San Andreas's Los Santos: featured in 2004 for the 6th generation of consoles
GTA V's Los Santos: featured in 2013 for the 7th generation of consoles
Saint's Row 3's Steelport: featured in 2011 for the 7th generation of consoles
Saint's Row 4's Steelport: featured in 2013 for the 7th generation of consoles
You think it's the same for GTA as it is for SR3 to SR4? If so, you're a moron. They are literally using the same exact city they used in SR3; nothing major will be different.
If SR4 re-used Steelport while adding new areas, making it far larger, more deep, and developed it with a completely new engine for the next generation of consoles I would NOT be complaining. But they're not. It's the same goddamn game.Â
didn't play the last game but his death was spoiled on gaf. glad gat is back though. though micheal dorn returning as maero is kinda weird.
[QUOTE="princeofshapeir"]They need a good reason for you to be even marginally interested in Saint's Row IV. I'm sure it'll be some idiotic explanation for him coming back to life, like the Saints stealing alien resurrection technology. As if the series couldn't get more nonsensical, contrived, and stupid. Â
That's kind of the point of saints row, man. It doesn't take itself seriously. Like at all.
At this point, it's starting to get ridiculous. Saints Row desperately needs a straight man to ground itself in its insanity.[QUOTE="GOGOGOGURT"][QUOTE="princeofshapeir"]They need a good reason for you to be even marginally interested in Saint's Row IV. At this point, it's starting to get ridiculous. Saints Row desperately needs a straight man to ground itself in its insanity. GTA V is how craziness and humor should be done. Saint's Row 3 was the result of asking a 12 year old hyped up on Fruit Loops to write the script. So what? Its GTA4 in a setting that was done last gen. Its even got the same landmarks. this so many lolvsdota, sr vs gta, bf vs cod, wow vs gw threads on this entire site. He better f*cking be. :| Can't believe what they did.
Man are people still arguing about this and GTA? You guys are worse than the MOBA assf*ggots...
THEY.ARE.TOO.DIFFERENT.TO.COMPARE.

At this point SR4 probably has more in common with Infamous or Prototype than GTA. They are going down completely different paths. I'm gonna get both.Â
The setup for SR4 actually sounds pretty ceative.Â
Saints Row what?
I can't bother with this game when GTA V is so close.

Besides the series went downhill after 2.
