Xbox live is really in the gutter right now because of the update. I'd just take a deep breath and go do something else. I was raging hard earlier but then you have to realize that by this time tomorrow it'll all be back to normal. I was just pissed in particular because i wanted to get the Reach challenges today. :(

What game? Played Halo Reach right after the update and it was very smooth as usual. Downloaded Super Meat Boy super quick too. XBL was a bit funky, the update wouldn't connect 2 times for me, then it finally connected and downloaded the update. Also wen't to customise my avatar and it went to update the clothes or something for the new models and gave me some error. Other than that it was fine. Though it seems pretty normal when rolling out a big update like this simultaneously for millions of people. I don't know what the TC expected. It's the internet, not magic.

Sony updates are god awful you can go to the movies and come back before a Sony update is finished real slow.

It has nothing to do with connection at all. When the update is already downloaded and installed and then you encounter a ton of glitches and issues, how exactly is that the fault of the person's connection? :?
Your like a hardcore Kennysolidsnake, any who it is a big update, some things do go wrong, but its kind of funny on the day the price is raised by 10 bucks is they day people are having problems logging into XBL and playing online.

I have to assume you are kidding or you have never seen a 360 update.
when I would do updates it would take a few tries, like updates for games/neflix/espn and stuff like that. Though the dash is much faster now, and more simple than the last one.

Nope I got some blazing fast internet. What I was getting at is lets face it Sony updates are far slower then compared to 360 updates. You got to install thye update after you DL with the PS3.
Just like every other major software/firmware update in the history of forever, there are going to be issues. Most of the kinks should be worked out in a day or two.
