5830 runs better? Can I see where you are getting that information from?
I gotta call you out on this one. The 768mb beats a 5830 by anout 5% and the 1 gig just destroys a 5830.

Consumes less power, runs at a lower temp. And beats it in the majority of tests run.

Depends on the game...
i checked again, its about 50/50 for the tests, and 5830 out performs the 460 at higher resolutionsFeel free to check that site again. Consumes less power, runs at a lower temp. And beats it in the majority of tests run.

gtx 460 is a great card. The 8800 gt which came after the 8800gtx is the best card ever made imo. Right up there with the 9800 pro.8800 GTX is Nvidias latest good card

Just like reviews, you really should go look at ALL websites and reviews on this card. IF you do, over 90% show how that gtx 460 absolutely destroys a 5830 and matches well to a 5850. Legitreview, ananddtech, guru3d, overclockers and many more all show the gtx 460 blasting a 5830. This is expecially so for the 1 gig version.

What? 285 is still one the best today...
Looks like someone fell for Nvidia's upgrade trap card.

Not really, I have a ATI 5870, and never had a 285... But every benchmark shows that 285 are still strong and when in SLI, are very efficient.

Okay, what? Were are talking performance/cost ratio...
SO awesome_snake, you really think the 5830 is better then a gtx 460? I am very confused. Are you basing it exclusively off tomshardware review only?jedikevin2well it is the only direct comparison i have seen, so yes

But come October I going to sli these bad boys. Unless I spend $700 on a 5970, $400 for 2 gtx 460's crushes everything else.
A month ago I would have been right with you about the fermi thing, but the gtx 460 is this gens 8800gt. Plus ATi has crappy drivers.

You Gonna have to look way more. I think you just trying to find a VS review then just reviews with lots of cards and fps for each game, heat consumption of a variety of cards, and power consumption
Guru3d Review of many GTX 460 cards
Legitreview of Gtx 460 768mb and 1 gig cards
Anandtech review of the 768mb and 1 gig version
HardwareCanuck review of the GTC 460
Bit-Tech review of the GTX 460
thats just a quick look through reviews.
