Just because it costs more its worse? Get the F out of here. Thats dumb as hell. And no you don't need $2500 to play cyrsis or the like.

How can I get it free?If you work for a business which needs those kinds of things you can get it for very cheap. I am going to get Windows Vista for $10.costing more does not make it worse, but it is a definite minus. a certain playstation console has shown that arguement to be more than viable..shivaskunk9mm
WRONG! It just makes it more expensive, that is all. The reason PS3 can't sell is because it offers no games. I bet if it launched with FFXIII and MGS4 it would be leading right now no matter the price.

How much would a PC cost to run Hellgate London?
Well if that's the case, then it's stupid to falsly critisize Apple for pricing their products too high. Awesome. Thanks for that.musicalmac
Apple comps are criticized for their inflexibility, not always their price. Apple is the worst nightmare of pc customization. And come to think of it they ARE overpriced. You DON'T get what you paid for. You pay for the brand.
You can't use the same argument with consoles vs pcs. Pc's have superior hardware, capabilities and custimization thus the higher price. Apple comps offer the same hardware as pc, same capabilities, inferior flexibility yet a higher price!

You're right but they have to run the game on something to show it off. And it was running on a e6600, 2gb ram, and an 8800 at e3. And thats the specs I posted, minus the cpu. But the cpu can reach 3.0 ghz easy.

Illogical question, a pc does a hell of a lot more than a console at the same price point anyway. Yet no self-respecting pc gamer would skimp out on components just to save money, he would get the best. thus he would spend more than he would have had he bought a crippled little toy pc...err i mean console.

Wtf are you talking about? I wanna build a PC to play Hellgate London, I don't know all the requirements for the game, or know what pieces to get so I asked. How the f*** is that illogical?
I dont see case/power supply, keyboard and mouse and I cant get a OS or free, so thats another $120 plus the cost of the mentioned items.Heil68
Hit up ebay, you can buy a copy of vista for about $40. Didn't add the rest because it can vary alot. Depends on the person, so you figure what you would want out. But still all together you can run cyrsis for about $700-$900. Not ba at all.

But PC gaming sucks :|.
I played the game, I dropped $2500 on a gaming computer 3 years ago, at the time you could get no better...I played WoW, Everquest 2, Star Wars Galaxies, Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Oblivion, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R on it...that's it. No other games even remotely interested me.
Thank god I needed alot of video editing power for my major, or else I would have felt severely cheated.
1.6GHz processor speed? It may run crysis, but will it run it atacceptable settings? What aboutan OS, case, and PSU? Also what about a monitor, it has to factored into the price seeing as how regular crt's don't come with pc inputs. Eithera monitor or an HDTV.
All in all it's about personal preference. I personally don't like RTS and RPG's, yet I love shooters which the majority can be found on consoles as well. It can also be somewhat of a hassle having to buy all those components seperate and build a rig up from scracth for some people. Being hunched over in a computer chair looking at a 17" monitor from 1 foot away isn't excatly comfortable for most people either.
P.S. Having to upgrade every 6-12 months can be a hassle as well and just factors more money into the cost of having a gaming pc.

Theres some thread in the PC Games section, I'm almost sure I saw requirements for the game in one of the sticky threads. I'll go look for it.
Nevermind..either I was just seeing things or it got removed. (There were a few other games that got removed that I saw)

$900 for 1 game?! Wow, what an amazing deal!
I could spend $900 to run mediocre FPS and RTS over and over again...great!....not.

I could spend $800 for a ps3 with NO games. I hope this puts things into perspective for you. Not all countries enjoy such ridiculously high ps3 prices, some enjoy EVEN higher prices for this glorified bluray player.

It is a 1.6 Ghz CORE2DUO! It would easily beat a 3.2Ghz Pentium 4.

Your right it does depend on the person. No one is forcing you to play on a monitor. I play most of my games on the tv in my living room. PC has a little bit of everything so I can't see how anyone could try and say they can't find games they like. Look harder.
Oh and that cpu is killer, for $75 you can get it to about 3.0 ghz pretty easy too. I would stop at about 2.66 though, no need for the extra volts and heat imo.

Uh yeah, PC gaming does suck, I play games that are optimized for the hardware I did a 1 time purchase of $479 for. Not to mention that the PC is good for nothing but FPS and RTS (seriously....madden on the PC? Don't make me laugh), I happen to like JRPG's, where are all of those for the PC, and even when they are released, they suck (I played FF7 and 8 on the PC, don't make me laugh). Come off the high horse, Crysis is not the be all end all of video games.
I'd rather play Halo 3 in september, Grand Theft Auto 4, Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, Fable 2, Stranglehold, Forza 2, Dead Rising, Perfect Dark 0, Infinite Undiscovery, Lost Odyssey, Madden 2008, NCAA 2008, Folklore, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Killzone 2, KH3, FF13 and VS, MGS 4, Uncharted, Warhawk, Resistance, Gran Turismo 5, Ratchet and Clank, Jak, watch Blu-Ray movies and HD-DVD movies and hundreds more games on my two consoles for the same price you paid to play Crysis for the next 5 years.
