I'm more excited about the incredible community features in Halo 3 than I am about the singleplayer story.

I don't care about sheer innovations & story, I care about fun. Give me Halo multiplayer over Half-Life anyday. Now I'm not saying Half-Life isn't fun, I just prefer Halo.

I've never played a Half-Life game ever. People always talk like its one of the best games ever made. I personally find it really hard to believe its on the considered same level as Halo and Bioshock, and I say that only because that guy with the glasses just seems scrawny, nerdy, and completely un-video game-protagonist-like. not to give halo props but wow, have you played the half-lifes? Half-Life 2really isn't that innovative, about the only thing innovative is the gravity gun, and the story was bland.

so is the PC version...its also cheaper, comes with mods (which are great for HL2) and if you buy it now....you get to play TF2 right now.

I don't know. The rest of the Orange Box package pretty much blows Halo 3 out of the water. Team Fortress 2 has some of the best multiplayer I've seen in a long time, with gorgeous art direction to boot. That, and it's integrated throughly into Steam Community, much in the vein of Xbox Live. (albeit free)

Portal is a first-person puzzle game, so I don't think you can really compare it to Halo...but it still looks awesome. (I'm totally playing Portal first.)

Like I said, I never have played the game. I don't know a damn thing about it. In fact, when it came out I was in college, loving every minute of it, and couldn't care less about the video game world. That era in which Half Life 2 was made video gaming was completely null and void to me. I will see what it all about now when it comes out for the 360.

To me, single player vise Half-Life 2: Episode 2 is obviously gonna take the cake this year when it comes to shooters, there's no question about it. And there's a good chance that TF2 will do the same to online shooters. So obviously I'm very anxious to get the Orange Box in my hands. No Half-Life game has ever disspointed me, I can't even imagine that happening, the gameplay itself is so good that it's very hard to screw up the whole game, I would also expect it to suit consoles well so don't miss out on this one.EntwineX

After you beat Half-life 2, you play it online. Then, you download mods for it and play those online. Then, on October 10th, people will be playing Team Fortress 2 for years to come. Explain to me how that isn't value.
