This new video has sealed the deal for me. I'm definitely getting this game. Only question now is whether to get it for 360 or my PC. I'm thinking 360 since that control scheme lends itself to this game.
Amazing video. I can't wait now. I've been limiting my exposure to the game, and because of that have been losing hype, but it looks amazing. Am I correct in saying there is not a final release date yet, except for the broad "November" date? Hopefully the beginning of November... that would be sweet. Finish it before Mass Effect :P.

Great video... but is it me or does the AI seem a little.... clunky? I mean when he was walking through the pedestrians it didn't look or feel smooth at all... the guys with the boxes seemed to walk on a direct path with turns that were 90 degrees... Hopefully the one shot kills won't be that easy to obtain or they limit the number of daggers per mission All in all great graphics and it seems like he parkours very smoothly from place to place, I dunno something about it still screams AA to me but I cant figure it out.
I'm still on the fence about this game. I plan to get it for PS3 eventually, but I just am not sure if it'll be day 1 or not. The roaming, and platforming aspect is amazing, but the combat is still a little too bland for me.
THis game interesses me, probably not enough for me to spend 70 dollars on it because from all the videos Ive sen the gaurds dont even try to kill you they attack every 10 seconds or so... that had better be very easy mode...

I'll bet the controls will be console oriented and hence I'll buy it for my X360. It'll be interesting to see what sort of mods come out after the PC release.

The PC version got delayed? Damn, i must've missed that bit of news? That's strange though, cause i've seen the pics floating around of someone at a retailer holding the CE in his hand :|

I remember having heard about the delay a month or so ago.
In a news release today, publisher UbiSoft announced their fall/holiday 2007 line-up of games. One of those games is the long awaited third person action game Assassin's Creed. However while the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will be coming out this fall, UbiSoft has decided to push back the PC release of the game until early 2008.Firingsquad
It doesn't look like anything has changed since, say, E3. The AI is still fairly stupid, the combat is still slow and boring...and now it looks like the ridiculous 'leap of faith' move will make more than one appearance...
Still, I can see this scoring highly, despite the fact that it looks incredibly easy to break/exploit the AI.
I've read in many previews that it is infact too hard to get away from the guards, so I'm gonna assume this was on an easy level just for demonstration purposes.
Psyched for the game though, hopefully it will be good to play.
Also someone had an issue with the throwable knives? Apparently you can see them all on your belt, so no more than 5/6 I'd assume.
Of course it's on easy. Gameplay videos usually are - demonstrations of games are not going to be on the highest difficulty, because the character dying if it happens won't impress anyone. It is also easier to control what you do in the video on easy, I'd imagine, given the genre.
