Lol, remember all the bashing 360 owners got for having pc ports? Well now you guys' entire interface will be a PC port of Second Life. I don't need a PS3 I can play second life on pc and don't have to pay 600 bucks to do it. But seriously what's the big deal about this? I'm not understanding the hype at all.shsonline
What I fail to see is you saying Home is a port of Second Life. Sure it's like an MMORPG but... I still fail to see it.
Cows dont have any games. so they hype whatever sony tells them to hype.Rob2223Your siggy quote makes no sense, but the post is just hilarious.

It's a 3D network where consumers, groups, communities and businesses can come together to share ideas. And because it isn't a closed environment, ala Xbox live, it potenially is a 3D internet. Home is a far more amibitous strategy than what M$ are offering.
ala second life.
Please look up second life before you start going off on one.

Man, defenestrating is so awesome, everyone will be doing it, its multiplayer compatible too!IronblindfoldYa, by buying the PS3, people are now thrown out the window in the process of having their PS3 pissing them off :p. lmao, this guy is funny. [quote="dictionary.com"] de·fen·es·tra·tion /diˌfɛnəˈstreɪʃən/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[dee-fen-uh-strey-shuhn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun the act of throwing a thing or esp. a person out of a window: the defenestration of the commissioners at Prague. [Origin: 1610–20; de- + L fenestr(a) window + -ation] Ya, that will definitely help Sony sell PS3s. gnutux

1 question: Was Second Life an ever expanding network of businesses as well as consumers? That's what Home is proposing. Thank you. Now why don't you just go off.[QUOTE="mentzer"]Better question...how is it NOT?How is PSHome a port of a PC program called Second Life???
More TC self ownage. I love it.

Its the only thing cows have to look forward to in 2007.apollolukeyah, that. But the most hilarious part is that Home has NOTHING to do with gaming! Its useless in all respects as a gaming device. Its a way to distract people from the fact that there arent any quality titles that would compel you to buy a ps3 and it also gives something for the fanboys to do, to waste time at, until a game thats worth playing comes out. Its a pure joke; 3d myspace sounds......useless on a gaming system. Myspace as it is is useless.....why would sony think its appropriate, in 3d form, for a 600 dollar gaming console? Simply put; its a way to sell useless nonsense and make pure profit. Advertising and selling useless crap like posters/clothes for your 3d avatars is pure profit and sony thinks by doing so it will give their audience some futile sense of purpose or achievement. Ultimately it has NOTHING to do with gaming! The fact taht cows are looking forward to this is a testament that they really event arent gamers; they are in it for the fancy graphics, multimedia functions and other non-gaming related features that in no way justify a $600 investment.

Sadly this is very true.

Yeah, but you could argue the lemmings don't have the best hardware and so moan about what Microsoft tell them to.Best hardware? Whos moaning? That is the worst attempt to defend sony. Go play your PS3, o wait all your games suck. Ight off to play GRAW 2.

From the moment you enter the World you'll discover a vast digital continent, teeming with people, entertainment, experiences and opportunity. Once you've explored a bit, perhaps you'll find a perfect parcel of land to build your house or business. You'll also be surrounded by the Creations of your fellow residents. Because residents retain the rights to their digital creations, they can buy, sell and trade with other residents. The Marketplace currently supports millions of US dollars in monthly transactions. This commerce is handled with the in-world unit-of-trade, the Linden dollar, which can be converted to US dollars at several thriving online Linden Dollar exchanges. Second-Life Site1. Second Life is a closed and controlled environment and 2. It doesn't offer opportunities for other businesses to explore business ventures on the network and potentially expand it with their content. With these points alone I think I've highlighted the limitations of Linden Lab's product. Home is a far more amibitous offering. Nice try though...
