Honest non-fanboy question. Why do PS3 exclusives look so amazing?

Obviously it doesn't look that good now, but I can't think of any other open world games in 2008 that could compete with it on a visual level.

I played GTA IV in 2010 and I thought it looks really bad. Then again, it was after I played Uncharted 2 that changed standards for graphics of every single one of us once we first saw a gameplay footage. Maybe if I saw GTA IV before Uncharted 2 showed us how games can also look, I would think its ok.

This game is so advanced that you can't even tell what you are standing on!

Advanced vaseline blur and color distortion!

Here you can clearly see the superiority of teh PS3!

Advanced 2D mountains and fused textures. Godrays and antialiasing decent.

Fair enough, but that's just your opinion. The fact i think Halo 4 and Forza Horizon look slightly better than any PS3 exclusive doesn't prove 360 is more powerful than PS3.

Yes they are. I went to google images and typed in "Hitman Absolution PS3 shots" and these are what came up. Being an owner of the PS3 version I can infact confirm that's what it looks like.

If the PS3 is really that powerful, why can't PS3 game developers release 1080p versions of the KZ and Uncharted games then? The XMB on my PS3 does 1080p. Why must all my PS3 games drop down to 720p? Look at the gaming PC on my sig. It handles 1080p games just fine. By your reasoning, the PS3 should run rings around my gaming PC with its puny Phenom II X3 720.

Killzone 3 may be one of PS3's best but I won't ignore it's piss poor AF, it's use of MLAA that causes jaggies on certain parts of the environment and horrible textures in areas like many people do.
