Honest Opinions is the 3DS worth it?

3DS owners tell me yay or nay?

Yay and nay. Why choose when you can have both?

the 3D effect is nice, even if it's just an extra. it's like movies, okay watching them in 3D, but if the content sucks, then who cares about the 3D effect?

so it's a matter of content, if you like nintendo games, then it sure is worth it and the graphics look good on that little screen.

In short, no, not yet.

At the price it is now? Yes!

At the original price? No way!

Yes it is worth it we have OOT:3D and Resident evil mercenaries.SML3D,Sonic Generations and Mario kart 7 by the end of the year.

Yay. The drought is essentially over, and it is well worth the $170.

Well if the games appeal to you then go for it, $170 is a great price

I'd wait for the holiday. More chances that retailers will offer up extra incentives to buy the 3DS. And I'm planning to get one after Kingdom Hearts comes out.

after this ahilday season it will have a great software line up plus at 169.99 you cant go wrong

I have buyers remorse with my 3DS (and I even purchased it before the ambassador's program).

I'm still going to hold on to my 3DS because of Starfox and the new Mario game, but other than that, I do not see the 3DS having a successful library other than: Metriod series, Mario Kart, Mario, Starfox, Zelda, Kirby, and maybe a Donkey Kong game. With that said, all those games can be pretty repetitive.

And if you're interested in getting an old 3DS that is registered in the ambassador's program, then I would suggest for you to hold off. The NES games are extrememly mediocore and not that great.

So to sum up: If you do enjoy the 3DS library, then I would suggest in getting it, HOWEVER, if you like the PSVita's library as well, I would recommend getting that. If you like aesthetics and new (as well as established games like Uncharted) then definitely get PSVita.

I think it is pretty much dead in the water. With the exception of a few Nintendo titles, the system just is not going to offer much.

Now, its kinda up to you. But after Christmas, you'll get the kick out of it.

I have a strong sense of Yes to say about it, But that's only because I'm getting the most out of my System.

Can't say about other people though.

Look at the games and the lineup if it interest you buy it, if not then dont.

Honestly I regret paying full price for mine but at the price point now theres not much reason not to if the games interest you

Mate has it. I must say, it's really cool the first time you use 3D, but it's really just a bit of a gimmick for now. The PSvita looks much better, I suggest you get that

Never had a DS, so I'm already in love with it simply for the DS library. Layton, Phoenix, Mario, Rune Factory 3, Pokemon, Ghost Trick, and more have been keeping me busy. Upcoming games like Mario 3D Land, Rune Factory 4, Tales of the Abyss, and more are just icing.

In short, yay.

for me not really im more looking to the vita for my handheld fix when it rolls out tbh its more my kinda thing.

It will be. That's a 100% certainty. I don't know whether you would consider the current library worth it.
When is that Nintendo 3DS event thing? If it's within the next 2 weeks I would definitely tell you to wait for that, and make up your mind with the games shown there and what we know is coming.

Not a bad collection I must say. I may wait until later this year or next year even.

After the price drop I'd say yay. Some more good games are coming out in the next few months, and replaying OoT has been great. Jeez, why did Nintendo have to remake what is considered by many to be the best game of all time in 3D anyway? It's not like it's a good game or anything.
