Yeah, same here. That and personally I just wasnt a big fan of Halo 2's maps. I still don't really get why every says Midship was so great.
when i think about why i effing love it so much i come to a few main things: A) the wonderful, unfathomable depth of the multiplayer. seriously your playstyle is only limited by your imagination. plus unlike games where 1 shot kills it has so much "individual" skill as well as team tactics. B) matchmaking. it's so EASY to get into a game it just warms my heart. C) fierce competition and relaxing fun... all in one :P. going from level 45+ team doubles to a custom game of infection is simply godly. it's like you have many games in one. D) the physics. think about them. they are without a doubt the best in any shooter. think of halo then think of another game... seriously where do the physics EVER come in in he "other game?" - not just the physics themselves, but how they influence the gameplay so awesomely. not to mention the occasional wonders like rebound noscope snipe and the traffic cone... :P E) forge, theater, bungie.net stats, medals, all user stuff. all of this is so amazingly integrated. in your service record you can see in each and every match where you have got every single kill, when and with what. it's so mind blowing i don't think a single other game has anything like it. as for forge... ocme on no explanations needed :D F) the campaign. solo, it's epic. co op, you could play it a hundred times over. but more than that it's the CHOICES you have in the campagin. with cod 4 and vegas it was just "shoot shoot shoot" but in halo 3s campaign you can use any tactic you want - rush in guns blazing or take a sneakier approah. use the brute shot to lower the brute armours then mop up the battlefield with a carbine. or do you prefer to get rid of the grunts first? or the snipers? or do lfeel like getting up close and personal with a melee/shotgun? go straight down the middle? or flank left. get in the gauss or get in the tank? board a wraith or wait for the warthog? i just honestly think people don't REALIZE what halo 3 does that everything else doesn't. anyone saying it's "run of the mill" is clearly in denial or ignorance
im just frustrated at how limited forge was, you should have been able to customize it much more than you were able to
Hopefully the map "Sandbox" will have somthing to say about this. oh yes. anyway people forget forge is actually real time... with multiple editors. besides apart from "skins" and size foundry is already near limitless
besides being fun to a HUGE number of individuals, what made/makes halo3 a "better shooter than the rest, only on xbox 360"

That it was fun to a HUGE number of individuals. Do you really need another reason? But the answer is yes. I loved Halo 3 when it was out, and I still find it immensely fun. Obviously, I value it less right now than back then, because I have already played the campaign (dozens of times throughout the year) and managed to learn the flow of multiplayer maps. If I had to rate the game right now, I would probably rate it the same as I would've on September 2007.
