If you don't play online much, then why bother paying for it? Unless you want to play games like Reach online. I've been paying for LIVE for 3 years now. It's been a brilliant service, and the cost a year is imo very affordable.

[QUOTE="icygangsta"]LIVE is a stellar service, and it's down to you as a individual to decide whether the features on offer are enough to satisfy you at the current price point.XboximusPrime

It is a stellar service, but its mainly a stellar ONLINE play service. But like I said, I dont game Online like ever.

That's always been my problem with Live. Just lemmie play online. Take away all the other bells and whistles. I just wanna play with some of my buddies.

The problem I have with xbox live is I don't go online often. I'm busy, I have school, etc. I'm not going to spend money for a 12 month subscription if I only go online once in a while. It should just be there.

Then, whenever I do decide to go online, Xbox Live always has some sort of error that makes me want to leave my 360 off for months. Just give me a service that isn't a pain in the butt to work with, especially if you're going to be charging for it.

I stopped paying for live when i got a ps3. I didnt see the need for it anymore. I realise people enjoy the service enough to justify paying for it, but I'd rather put my money into getting an extra game a year. My 360 is just collecting dust lately as small differences in multiplats dont really bother me.

i dont get it, why do they have to charge us? if sony can make their online free, and its an awesome service, why does MS have to charge us? what justifies them charging us? and i hate it when people say ohh its only like 6 dollars a month, but i dont pay 6 dollars a month, they force me to shell out $60 every year, i would rather get a game, and yet i always fall for it and renew it because theres no point in having a 360 if you dont have online.

In the wake of the price being increased, I did a little reflecting on really what Live offers to me as of right now personaly. I rarely game online anymore, PS3 now has a netflicks app thats atleast as good as the 360 one right now, I dont care abour facebook and twitter on my consoles, I think Last FM is neat, but I dont use it that much.

So really, im not sure what Live has to offer me anymore. I feel like im gonna get my moneys worth more out of PS Plus then I am live right now, since the main thing that seperates Live from PSN (Online play) dosent appeal to me anymore.

The problem however is that MS has made Live so apart of what the 360 is, to the point that I will probaly be locked out of alot of stuff if I dont get it, so MS is basicaly forcing me to renew because they are not updating free users with anything new anymore really.
