Honestly the best online shooter is..

What is so great about CS? I played it back in the day till about 2003, but what has changed? I recently downloaded Team Fortress when it became free--I honestly don't understand its appeal.

TF is just mindless/skill-less fun. Totally non serious shooting stuff. Casuals flock to it.

its actually nice to play something that is light hearted and not so serious sometimes. for that I just play firefight. :P

The most fun I ever had in a shooter was Cod2 just because of the loads of mods and custom maps people put out.

I think Halo3 is the best I've played this gen. I think it is about time they up the player count, though. Why is it that consoles cap off at 16, generally?

CSS/BF3 on PC

MAG/Warhawk on PS3

360 doesn't have good shooters. They are forced to play that CoD/Halo/Gears trash. But they have the best co-op and online racing imo. BF3 was the best thing that ever happened to their lives.

Consoles don't, Xbox Live does.

They don't like to allow companies to put up dedicated servers that can handle big games, so all games are rinky dink 5 on 5 peer-to-peer crap like Gears.

The one exception on 360 is Homefront which has I believe 32 vs 32.

That's a strange way to spell Team Fortress 2.

Uncharted 3 for me.

CS 1.6 is like the emperor of online FPS.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein was my all-time favourite shooter. I also played a lot of CoD/CoD:UO when that came out (even though it wasn't as good as RTCW). Since then I haven't been able to get into a shooter. I'm kinda lost in a void of generic shooters that get less fun every year.

I miss the shooters that had huge modding communities. But it's almost as if devs got jealous when someone modded a game to be better (or more fun) than what they made.

Best online shooter? I don't know. Online shooter that I had most fun with? Bioshock 2.

It's funny how much worse 1.6 is compared to 1.3, yet 1.6 is still a lot better than most games on the market today. 1.3 had higher accuracy and the head box was a bit larger. Now, the leftarm box overlaps a large portion of the face.

thats my point, if it aint broke no need to fix it, value? its simple thats what i stated thats why its number one to me, and recoil? thats what makes it a challenge if you can master the recoil on an m16 on ak47 you would be great, i dont need scopes, perks, killstreaks, etc...

Random? Its called predicting it? Any game that has recoil will be random.

Resistance was loads of fun, really underrated MP, I agree. As for all time favorite Halo 3 with KZ2 a close second.

and quake and TFC are better than all online shooters. I can see how that might've confused you tho :O
