Horizon v. Scalebound

You can deck out a pig (a Guerrilla game) with lipstick (pretty graphics) but it'll still be a pig.

In all seriousness just as every other new IP, Horizon has potential.

You're correct basically. Guerilla have only really made Killzone and the second game is the only trully good one. But a lot of the problem with Killzone in general was how lackluster the universe was. The whole thing translated to a generic, brown FPS game for the most part. With Horizon, they have a chance to do something really good and from looking at what we have already seen, and what they have teased with words, it could potentially be excellent. I mean the game has been in development longer than Killzone Shadowfall started and finished development, it's clearly their primary focus and I don't think Shadowfall is a good game to judge their potential on.

I do have more trust for Platinum and Kamiya, and I did think Scalebound looked a little cooler from a gameplay standpoint, but that doesn't mean I want Horizon to be a bad game, I am looking forward to see what exactly they do with this concept because robot dinos is pretty rad.

Most? All they make is KZ so the "most" part doesn't mean much. From what was shown, it looked far from being a turd.

Dunno about that, Lionhead have been around longer but produced much less and MS-era Rare has been dire.

GG has been technically good but creatively a bit flaky. With TW3 and FNV staff on board I have a lot more confidence in this project.

Horizon by a long shot

I saw Scalebound in motion just last night. The first thing I thought OMG it's the DMC reboot's Dante. The same irritating overconfidence and snarky humor. The techno music was just jarring and felt really out of place. The faceless stormtroopers and the pod-like things they were housed in looked like they were straight out of Final Fantasy. The bright, clean color palette also struck me as very Final Fantasy.

Speaking of Horizon I'm hoping that she only dictates her every move in the beginning, but atleast it's an original concept. I'm rooting for Guerilla to finally make a good game. The Killzone IP should be bashed in the head with a claw hammer and buried in a shallow grave.

because cows will call any sony exclusive GOTY. horizons looks awesome, but calling it GOTY already after 1 video is why cows are the laughing stock of system wars. they over exaggerate way more then any fan base.

After 5 days and 154 votes the results are 50/50 that's not bad at all.

Scalebound. If it doesn't work it's way around Microsoft's usual routine of releasing for the PC as well, I'll be the reason I end up picking up an XBOne. Horizon looks good as well and, as I already have a PS4, I'll be picking it up likely at release, if not a little later.

Horizon, for the female lead design, alone. They've essentially stole what Laura Croft once was and have now made her look like a sissy girl.

so far.. horizon hands down from char, eviron... music and gameplay....

Both look promising, but any final judgement should be reserved when both titles hits gold/candidate release status.

There are probably 2-3x as many cows on SW than lems at this point, it's just most people have enough common sense to know that a game made by Kamiya is worth 1000x more than a game made by a mediocre developer like Guerrilla Games

Ignoring the fact that 2 of those developers have much better track records than Guerrilla, I haven't seen a single person here call GOTY for any of those games,

Since what people care about is pretty subjective, I'd say that there are plenty of people who already do. Just cause you might not (because you are a cow) doesn't mean others do. for instance I do not care about you at all, but i would hope that somebody you know does ;)
