Horizon Zero Dawn graphics

I have been playing HZD for over than 100 hours now, and half of that time was spent watching the vistas and taking photos. Not sure if it's the best looking game out there, but it's easily the above anything i have seen so far!

You guys should take a look at that thread. Talented gamers have been posting hundreds of fantastic pics!

Anyway, to make this thread a bit more system wars material, and considering many people keep saying that current gen consoles have the hardware of a tablet, i would like to see some PC games with better graphics that this :P

Overrated. Halo 5 looks way better.

Flopio who? Nothing in the Flopio will look this good.

Forza Horizon 3 already looks objectively better than this game. Although I suppose Horizon is a good looking game it definitely is outclassed by the Xbox's best games.

It is stunning... a little rough in 'some' places but for the hardware it's running on it's nothing short of breathtaking.

Still need to play this....does it look good on the vanilla PS4?

I don't mind ugly graphics, and I don't gush over pretty graphics either...

But sometimes it's just fun to walk around in a really pretty world and just get lost there. Like the immersion becomes complete.

Often times in Ryse or AC: Unity I would just walk around and take it all in :)

Yeah they did a great job with this game. Sure the frame rate is pretty bad at 30fps with dips every now and then, but it's still an enjoyable experience.

I haven't had the chance to play it yet myself but it's extremely pretty. :)

I love this game. So glad that Sony took a chance on this new IP. Something MS needs to do, instead of cancelling games left and right.

I wish the gameplay was as fun as it is in Zelda.

I wish the game was longer tho.

It also needs a fighting arena and challenges, something among the lines of first light as to infamous.

8.5/10 for me.

Still love the game and my own PS4 GOTY indeed. Kudos to Guerrilla Games.

The game looks good rather you have Pro or regular PS4, you won't be disappointed, I can promise you that.

It's sad isn't it. We have proof that a game can look absolutely beautiful on PS4, OG PS4 mind you, and people are still saying X1 and PS4 are as weak as a tablet. If they're that weak they couldn't make breathtaking graphics like that.

not 1 gameplay. all photomode and bullshots (complete with the logo) as someone who owns it and isn't a biased child the game looks great but not nearly as great as everyone hypes it to be

Yep amazing, still need to play it.

Very good but I think uncharted 4 is better graphically, Also end boss in Horizon sucked it could of been so much more.

@supergokublitz: I have yet to play Horizon but I guess it can't be worse than UC4 last boss fight ?

Uncharted 4 got outclass in graphical scope and gameplay with Horizon.

@darkangel115: Sorry buddy, hurting your feelings wasn't my intention. This thread is not only supposed to show how good the game looks, but also the talent of some gamers with the photomode.

If you also want to see some real time gameplay, i posted a gif thread too.

@supergokublitz: I think they are more or less the same (U4 has better character models and facial animations, HZD has better environments, particles, etc), but the fact Horizon managed to achieve U4 visuals in a huge seamless world, makes it more technically impressive to me.

Game looks great.

Just restarted today.

I bought it at launch and played maybe 3 hours before stopping.

Between work and other games i kind of lost track.

Restarted and fell in love all over again.

Really wish the Pro version was 60fps, going from PC to console is jarring sometimes.

The game is stupidly good looking. Andromeda had some pretty damn nice vistas, but just nowhere near that graphical detail.

Too bad it's limited to the PS4. The photo mode clearly adds a level of anti aliasing or upscaling that isn't present in the real-time gameplay. Though it does show how fantastic the fidelity and lighting/shading are for the game.

It doesn't add anything unless you add filters.

Can't wait to be done with the stupid ass Adromeda so i could get back to Horizon.

Future ownage for you! The Scorpio is a lot more powerful than the PS4 poo!

Halo 6 running on it is going to be higher graphics than Horizon.

Gears of War 4 looks much better.

middle click or right click/open in a new tab the pics. it'll be in their native res. You can see all the details without blur

they're breeding out of control :P

There still looks to be some extra AA. Most the best pictures are also taken with filters. It's subtle, but they do clean up the image just slightly it looks like.

Still a great looking game.
