That's right SW, it's yo daily DaVillain, bringing you yet another new game coming from developers of Guerrilla Games who is famous for Killzone franchise series with no doubt are taking a risk of making a new IP game and when it comes to new IP games, it's good for the gaming industries :)

So I guess you want to know is, what's the game about huh: Horizon Zero Dawn is set in 10,000 BC set in a futuristic way, Humanity no longer rules Earth, the planet is now rule by mechanical Dinosaurs like and it's up to our main protagonist name Aloy, a skilled hunter, explore, and a adventurer exploring Humanity's downfall and how and why Dinosaurs machines came to be. Sounds exciting I know, I just like Dinosaurs. Horizon features a crafting system, which makes sense for an apocalyptic world, but in the context of story and gameplay, it is not a shoehorned feature. Players will need to craft arrows, bombs, traps and more to take down these Machines, as each one will not simply possess a glowing red weak point. like this gif below:

My final verdict: Horizon: Zero Dawn is without a doubt, my most anticipate PS4 game and a new IP to that as a bonus, I'm giving Horizon: Zero Dawn a 9/10! Can it pull it off? We shall see.

It looks amazing visually and fun, at least for a while.

I would say 8/10 here and 84/100 on metacritic. Hopefully higher, but i'm still a bit skeptical about some aspects of this game.

Will be getting this after I'm done with Zelda.

9/10, looks like Skyrim but with good combat. Plus you can climb, ride mounts, etc. Gamespot will love this one, its got everything.

That Collectors edition sucks though, Steel Books are the worst. Also this game needs DLC or else many will trade it in after completing it.

i'm more so interested in the combat than the story, just looks badass.

the game overall has this like metal gear solid mashup with witcher / tomb raider, just oozes so much atmosphere, i really hope the games does the open world thing properly..

I hope I'm wrong and that we have a great new IP on our hands.

I recently got a PS4 and I'm reasonably excited for this. However PS4 games are too expensive to get at release so I'll probably wait for a sale. I still have several PS4 games that I wanna play, not to mention games on other platforms, so I can wait.

This tickles Sonyspots ass hairs in all the right ways so I believe a 10/10 is inevitable.

It's a Sony exclusive so by default it's a 10/10 that's how it works in SW right?

Sony game so 9/10 GS, 72 MC.

Put my wager down as 9/10. Can't say I'm in love with the direction and role the team took with respect to its contextual purpose (narrative), but I can forgive it for having compelling elements in most every other respect.

I wasn't that taken with the trailers it seems like generic open world fare. I'll go with 7/10 though I hope it turns out to be better than it looks,.

I see it scoring an 8/10. It's going to be a great game just not Earth shattering. It looks really solid from a gameplay and graphics point of view and I can't wait to play it. Exciting times ahead for PS4 owners. Too bad salty butthurt lems can't say the same for the CancelBone and its plethora of 6/10 flops.

@Basinboy: Similar to TLG, and Gravity Rush 2. I'm exaggerating a bit, but you get the gist.

I think I'm going to pass on this one. From watching the videos, it just doesn't look very fun to me.

Horizon: Zero Interest.

But put me down for AA hype. I want to see how it scores next to Zelda for the ultimate in lulz. Firmly believe the game that scores higher will be the club used to bludgeon the losing side for months to come.

A good time for gamers

8/10 GS score to be safe.

After seeing some leaked footage I predict this game will have a 10/10 and probably top everything that has been released recently, even uncharted 4 (why did that game got a 10/10 here anyway). You see, even as lem I can appreciate a great game and I won't become a cow but this game will single handedly make me buy a ps4 pro.

This is a genius mix of mass effect, skyrim and dragon's dogma.

Horizon is on the back burner for me. Maybe down the road after I finish Zelda I'll pick it up.

Gamespot will give it a 9/10 (at least).

From what I've seen it looks like a solid 7/10 due to the voice acting and npc's being awful, Aloy may be the exception to that.

Graphically it's pretty but there appears to be a lot of "pop in" and low LOD (something I find annoying) but that may just be a PS4 problem that doesn't affect the PS4 Pro as much.

Gameplay does look fluid though.

Obviously, just like the majority of us, I haven't played it.

This... GS will definitely give it a 9 or 10 automatically. Everyone else will be around 7 or 8 I predict.

It's a pretty game, which I'm sure will be fun. But I'm not expecting anything amazing.

Was going to say a 7 but your thread bumped my hype to 8. So Horizon Zero Dawn 8/10 looking solid for GG.

While I am interested in the game, I don't typically buy single player games at full price. I am sure I will buy it around Christmas though. I'm going to guess a 7/10 because of overall uncertainty of how GG can transition from Killzone to a new IP.

My hype level is very very high for this one. 9.8/10. There will be some minor bug that makes it miss out on 10/10
