[QUOTE="Ratchet_Fan8"]why you make a level 1 account to post this crap? You dont have any balls to post it on your real one??? or wait you got banned ? NinDogDoThis is my real one yes you magically found System wars on your first go.How? I found the forums a year after i started Using GSpot
God of war... the combat is slow choppy and repetitive. The combat doesn't get better until you upgrade everything an insane amount of times but that doesn't happen until deep into the game. Until then it's just CHOP-CHOP DIE rinse and repeat. The combat is soooo slow. I can't block during an attack or transition OR ANYTHING!! Bayonetta- Combat is super fluid, I can block whenever i want. COMBAT is NEVER dry millions of combos and insane moves that let you pull off anything. Very fun combat even if you don't have everything unlocked yet. Story- Bayonetta isn't about story. If you want a story go read a book. And how is god of war superior in story? It is basically the ODYSSEY or PERCY JACKSON with a lame as heck hollywood "my family got killed must seek revenge" plot device tossed in to freshen up the thousand year old tale.NinDogDocant block? blocking was a simplistic as possible in GOW3 ha ha... somethin tells me youv never played it even hmmm... this username sounds familiar lol

It's possible, some people don't even make accounts and go on the forums. I used this place for news(fanboys are really fast) before I made an account.

System Wars is the 3rd option when you click on the forums. It isn't "Magic".
To the TC: Different tastes. God of War and Bayonetta are different Hack N Slash games, thus, they offer completely different experiences.

I think everybody knows that the wackiness is on purpose. Doesn't mean they like the execution of it.
Not everyone....If I wasn't lazy I'd search up some things people have said about Bayonetta and it'd surprise you, but trust me not everyone knows it's on purpose.yes you magically found System wars on your first go.How? It's a matter of tastes. To understand why someone likes something else you have to imagine that your tastes differ from others.
I found the combat in God of War III enjoyable and I liked the diversity between enemies. I don't think the combat mechanics are better than Bayonetta's or Ninja Gaiden's but they are more than adequate.
When I buy a game I expect certain things from it. The gameplay must be solid, ofcourse, and it must have a story that I would want to complete. Ninja Gaiden and Bayonetta are serously lacking in the story telling department which in the end will not have me setting aside one to two hours playing a videogame.
I like the dedication God of War had in it's story telling. While it wasn't the strongest of tales, Kratos makes for an interesting character whose endless vendetta puts him up against the most formidable foes in Greek mythology. Those interactions and the stunning visuals makes me want to pick up the controller and play to see what is going to happen next. Bayonetta does not do that for me.

I love GoW3, but I would have picked up Bayonetta if Sega hadn't had their intern handle the PS3 port (which was faded, muddy and slow loading, with the odd bit of artifacting thrown in).

So they chose to make the game cringeworthy and cheesy on purpose... That's does'nt make it any less cringeworthy and cheesy. It's a lot worse than DMC4 which had portions that definitely needed to be played in private.
They are both good games, but the combat has to go to bayonetta. I also never get tired of staring at her. I like bayonetta's combat better the Ninja gaiden's, thats where the real comparison is. GOW has fun combat but it is shallow.

It obviously depends on the person if you cannot tell. Cheesy stuff isn't cringeworthy at all to me, but horrible stories that tries to hard are. I laugh at the cheesiness of Bayonetta.Maybe they like the setting more? Maybe they don't like Jpop, mixed with weird fanservice character designs and copy/pasted DMC combat with slow mo? Maybe they want a decent story as opposed to a game that for some reason, gets a pass for having a ridiculous plot. Maybe they prefer brutality over style?

Strange things happen in this world. It took me 3 years to discover that GS had forums and the first one that I entered was System Wars(and at that time it wasn't near the top), then it took me other 3 years to discover that if I wanted to post(I used to read only) I had to make an account. It took me 6 years to create this profile.:x

It's not really but it's extremely similar to DMCs, some of the combos even transition over.. like the fast jab.
No. It's just that a lot of people that like Bayonetta seem to think the "wackiness" negates the fact that the games story does take itself seriously. Some people prefer GoW's horrible story over Bayonetta's wackiness(which is done on purpose and for some reason people cannot understand that).

Your opinions aside..."If you want a story go read a book" these few words disqualify you from being a gamer in my eyes. If comaby in GoW is slow and choppy you apparently dont know how to play.
i never liked GOW because of its combat tbh, just the super rad set pieces and boss battles were what attracted me to the games.
the third was largely rushed and thoughtless to be honest.i dont get why people downplay GOW story, its not as shallow as you think,
but hey its all opinions

I exaggerate a lot. I found GoW1 story to be pretty decent and did a damn good job for motivation to move from point A to point B and the same for GoW2. In all honesty, I find the games to be great experiences due to their boss fights, but for overall package I really can't see myself playing these games over and over just because of its combat. To me the GoW series are just one playthrough type games.i dont get why people downplay GOW story, its not as shallow as you think,
