how awesome did the new tomb raider look

Yeah there are lots of reboots out there, but this is one that is beneficial as it fixes many of the problems the past games suffered from, and will help to renew the image of Lara and the series itself as it moves forward into the future.

I hope that two things aren't heavily present in the full game. Excessive moaning, and that ultra weird camera system. With the grunts and such, it made sense since she was hurt but they could have toned it down. Its a game. Other than that, it looked pretty decent minus some more minor complaints.

I like the moaning....

Looked pretty good but the screaming and moaning she was doing was one of the most irritating voices I´ve heard in awhile.

Best played with mute on. :P

Also whilst it was one short section it was small tight linear though it was a cave and full of QTE. That and the very obvious visual cue to hint the player made it seem more casual friendly.

Obviously better visually than ever but overall not that impressed so far but this was only a short early section. Whats more interesting for me with this reboot is the very different theme its going for I lke the change after so much of the same, a more dark gritty and aim to make it feel real which I want see what becomes of it and how it plays out and for more gameplay.

It reminded me of Uncharted. :P

I was impressed with what I saw so far. But we still didn't see any combat. That's where Tomb Raider always lagged badly behind the competition.

I thought it looked great, I was kinda shocked at how gritty they made it. Was kinda distressing :P

Only gripe with it was the repetitive annoying moan voice, if they fix that then awesome!

On the contrary. The weaker a character starts out as only deepens the character develpment when you get to the end, conveyed by how much contrast in that person from beginning to end. It's also makes the power one attains more rewarding, for how hard earned it was and how far one went to achieve it, when starting with so little.

I was impressed with what I saw so far. But we still didn't see any combat. That's where Tomb Raider always lagged badly behind the competition.

Anyway I have to say I am very impressed with this new direction for tomb raider (I've never really been a fan of the old tomb raider series). It reminds me of a TPS version of Amnesia haha. The gameplay itself looks good and I'm loving the new look of Lara. I'm hoping this will be more of an adventure/survival game (which it looks like it will be) than some lame action game with infinite ammo pistols herp a depr. Can't wait to see new footage

I loved whay I saw, but wow, Lara knows how to scream, huh... maybe a little to much.

But as people already said, we have to see how combat will play out.

I think the voice actress thought she signed up to Womb Raider :lol:

The trailer didnt really show off anything about the game.

Love the new look and the settings looks like a really interesting place to explore.

The only thing I hope they have an option for is turning off the hint or highlight option. When the barrel started glowing I was like meh, other then that I thought it looked good.

Has the new voice actor been confirmed? I know they did away with the old one. Because she sounds more Australian than a Brit... or an Australian making an attempt at sounding like a Brit.

The game looks awesome, if there is any criticism though is that I think they need to vary some of those cries/struggles abit or make it a little more subtle; unless the game is doing this intentionally to make her seem more fragile.

But then again, it could just be a placeholder.
