Expensive steambox look more viable with Xbone in the picture. Gamer want media box but not forced spycam from MS who admits giving personal information.

I highly doubt it will hurt the Xbox One at all, and if it does, it hurts all consoles, not just the Xbox selectively.

Xbone is higher price. Steambox will steal xbox exclusives. If steambox is reasonable price, it does much more than console and is from company who does not give Obama your personal information.

They obviously know nothing about how PC building works then.

Building one is simply, very simple and everyone knows someone who can do it.

Faulty parts? The last 8 PCs Ive built Ive returned one part and it was faulty due to my error.

Testing? You dont test a game pc, you put it together you use it. Thats pretty much it.

If all else fails buy a custom built one, boom problem solved.

You have the PS3 official numbers? Proof? Otherwise it's the 360 is ahead with what we have from only Microsoft. Sony has yet to give us numbers aftter that PS2/PS3 combo

1. That's kind of the point. Flew over your head? 2. As simple as going to the store and buying a console? And no, it is not "very" simple and everyone does not know someone who can do it. There are service to pay people to build for you, but this is more cost. 3. Faulty part does happen, as you just admit. Happen to me as well. And building from part from different company, dealing with different customer support- You can see why regular consumer prefer to buy console and deal with one company. Thankfully many company have good warranty on pc part. 4. I test all my pc. I want to make sure I get performance I pay for. That's not pretty much it. 5. Cost more. Boom, empty wallet.

Steambox will have zero impact if it's just a PC. We have PCs now. Now, if Steambox is some standard with major developer support where games are built to run perfect on one specific hardware setup (ie Steambox) and it's priced $499 or less... maybe, but that doesn't seem like what it's going to be at all.

Does not need to be price 499. If it is closer to pc, can do so much more than console. Windows use to have advantage of standard program like MS office- word, excel, photo editing, etc. All these program have online version that perform very similar now, so windows becomes less value than in past. Steambox would be worth just to play mod. Valve can make linux gaming standard and mainstream, steam is biggest force in pc gaming.

You only gave one link, so this whole post is a lie. This is why you have not yet posted any links since then. Because you don't have any... Like NOW. People are still debating this. Databases have not updated because it's still an issue of Sony bringing out real numbers instead of combining with PS2 sales. There is still no 100% proof, but so far, the 360 is the only one with numbers, and it is still ahead with quite a few piece of evidence for it. Beyond and Gaf are also still debating it and those forums have developers in them quite a bit.
