I think MS have just come out too late. every body who wanted motion control has a wii, so they won't want to spend money on something which is copying the wii... well, at least it means next gen will be 100% motion control(hooray!)(or 66% if sony are stupid enough NOT to do it...)also, 360 owners are mostly happy with what they have got, so they won't buy it... 1 last thing, NATAL will probably be more expensive than the wii, another reason to discourage casual gamers...

NATAL will be a big deal. This will definitely appeal to families. The controllerless aspect will definitely make it more popular than PSWand.

I could see a lot of Wii owners picking up a 360+Natal bundle for a second system.

Have to give it credit, the idea of NATAL is great, but seeing as to how it failed on stage at E3 and how it isn't full 1:1 responsive, it will flop not badly but it won't make it. It severely limits what you can do in games since you can't actually move around a stage so I expect most games to be on rails or games where you don't need an analog or dpad to move meaning minigames galore.

Depends what games come out on day one that utilise it.

[QUOTE="AHUGECAT"]

Microsoft will try and do the same thing Nintendo did - basically, get the 360 and make the peripheral standard. Nintendo just repackaged the GameCube with a Wiimote and a few upgrades (like DVD and SD card slot). I think MS will basically just upgrade the 360 with a few new features (perhaps even Blu-ray?) and NATAL.

That sounds awful. Natal needs to be 100% optional and not a standard . then we will be able to forget that horrible thing was ever made.

They know that will happen if it is optional, thats why its not going to be........

how can you say the ps wand will work very well???? maybe if they release a new ps eye. but if the wand needs the eye to work then its not gonna work very well.monson21502

Because it's based on a much more sensible principle. IR LEDs and cameras, even relatively primitive cameras, work together incredibly well.
