It seems reasonable to assume that by the time the NX is released so will the PS Neo.
If the PS Neo is launched at a $399.99 price point its also safe to assume that Sony will drop the price of the current PS4 to at least $299.99. The PS4 already has an established library of games where as the NX would be starting from scratch. There are also rumors floating around that the NX won't even be as powerful as the current PS4. My question is how is a $299.99 NX going to compete against a $299.99 PS4 that already has an established library of games and guaranteed third party support going forward? Nintendo seems to be doubling down on their own 1st party output with the NX, but is that really going to be good enough, especially if both consoles retail for the same price? Wouldn't the NX have to be even cheaper for it to gain any kind of momentum?
Could even a $249.99 Nintendo only box compete with a $299.99 PS4? I'm just trying to wrap my head around what Nintendo's strategy could be to make the NX actually semi successful with so much competition out there.
