How Can anyone like the Wii?

Honestly how? Yes i know its fasinating and exciting to experience a New controller and somwhat unique way to play games...but How does that last? expecially with the shocking list of Wii titles which is more kiddy/anim than anything else. The only Game i really want a wii for is Metroid Prime 3 corruptions...The rest are rushed and ugly games just made to quickly add the new controls. And Since Nintendo have lost the RE series basically, since the cube. Theres know reason to really get excited for one, IMO. and to add if more bad news to that...the Hardware is real outdated. So you can't fall back on visuals. I really expect so much more from Nintendo..when they announced the wii..but seeing nothing but rushed kiddy titles just focused around the controller, makes me wanna puke.

Lets not forget Online, I'm not much of an online gamer but i enjoy downloadable content/demos etc...Nintendos online is still a mess and they still avoid the whole concept of it. I loved nintendo in the old days with Snes/n64 but somehow they have lost it...most likely since the competition is just over powering...and probably know they counldn't stand the chance and losses involved..since both MS and SONY have other devision to rely on for prohit. But still, More could of been done.

I seriously hope nintendo does something about its 3rd party and overall more games in general in terms of variety...and more MATURE TITLES. Yes i know i'm whining and complaining..but doesn't this annoy sheep?

They are putting out 2 RE's that i know of, on the Wii.... a remake of RE4 & RE: Chronicles..... here's an idea, get informed then post, not the other way around.

It barely launched, obviously there isn't going to be a massive selection of good games yet. Just wait a little while.

It's a unique console which I'm sure will be home to many creative titles in the future.

Err, who hasn't played one? I've had enough time on one to see how boring it can get without some BETTER GAMES. All the Wii games have scored pretty bad reviews and complaing about how the controller doesn't work well for most games. So why should i own one?  

Easy

I question how long people will feel motion-sensing is fresh and fun. By the end of this cycle it will just be another way of controlling games, nothing that stands out of the rest.

I will give Nintendo and the Wii credit where it is due. They did bring in a lot of new people to gaming. However, whether this will help the industry whatsoever remains to be seen.

eeerrrrrrrrr you do know most normal people do have a life right. You know where you can invite your mates around and have a good time. To most normal people the idea of swinging the wiimote is a lot more appealing than pressing buttons right? Have you ever tried making a mii look like hitler It's hilarious!

    The upcoming game list looks awesome to me but you've probably made your mind up that you don't like the games and I won't bother trying to change your mind. The graphics to me are fine, but compared to the 360 and stuff it looks like s***. The online isn't great but the only game I want to play online is SSBB.

    If you don't like the wii, thats fine just don't play it. To me the wii is a great system. But seriously why did you make this thread? To annoy the sheep cos your bored?

Do you want developers like Ubisoft to just keep rushing out crappy games?

Of course there is a drought because developers are still in development of the games!! You can't expect massive amounts of epic titles in the first year of a consoles life. 

There is plenty of great "starter" games to choose from right now like.. Sonic and the Secret Rings, SSX Blur, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Prince of Persia: Rival Swords, Madden 07, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Excite Truck, and plus quite a few virtual console games to keep ya busy til more wii games come out.

So to say there is no good games for the Wii is total BS.

I think that about sums it up. Why can't a Nintendo 1st party game be more than just Mario/zelda and more kiddy trash? What about the hardcore gamers and older gamers? What ever happen to reaching EVERYONE? If anything the PS3/360 reaches EVERYONE with there games. The Wii only reaches extra others with the easier and new controller...thats its.

What good games are out for the PS3 atm? Cows are hyping Heavenly Sword and Lair and I see no reason to think that they'll be AAA only a couple of pretty videos.

It does annoy me...

Yet another impatient gamer, who generalises before playing, and couldn't give a crap about the titles that are actually promising or good.

Does Manhunt 2 tickle your fancy? I'm 100% sure there are mature-themed 'hardcore' Wii titles on the way. Just wait until E3 and beyond. At least Wii won't be the only console that has to wait it out to be good *looks at PS3*

What do you expect to accomplish? What's your ROI on this? At the end of the night, the Nintendo fans are going to be split between saying "who cares about hardcore, I'm having fun!" and "hardcore doesn't exist, I'm hardcore, blow it out your ear!"

People want to own a Wii for the same reason people still buy Madden - sometimes people just want to play a game. I've given up trying to get mad at sheep for this, it's there choice, and whether they're genuinely happy or in denial doesn't affect me as a gamer - as long as they don't bash us for supporting the advancement of hardcore gaming, I let them be for supporting the advancement of casual gaming.

Personally, if Nintendo would just make a slightly-deeper version of Pikmin, I'd feel better about the Wii.

You should try out Tiger Woods PGA, this is what the Wii is about. I can not imagine any one playing a sports game on any other type of controller in 4 Years time. I am sure MS & Sony will be developing motion sensing controls as we speak and all systems will use this, Wii is leading the way. Why wait for the tomorrow's controls when you can have them now.

Topics like this make me depressed. I find it sad to see people who are actually buying into the fanboys' nonsense. I can understand fakeboys trapping people into flamebait threads, but when people actually buy into the feces that is thrown around and base their personal opinions on it then it depresses me.

The Wii isn't going away, it's getting great games and developers are fully on board with it, and as long as there is a hardcore market continuing to buy games for the system, the games you are interested will continue to be made.

The first Mii I made.  I saw that mustache and it had to be done.  My roomate and I where laughing our a#$es off.  Its still funny to see Hitler dominate the tennis court or roll over teh compettion in Tanks.

As far as the main post goes,  what a douche!  Damn the only thing more tiring then "The Wii Sucks.  The Wii is Kiddie posts" are the Sony fanboys talking about the the future of the PS3 and how it will own all noobs and X box people thinking Halo is some sort of god send that will propel the 360 to mythilogical proportions.  So lets end this all now!

1.  The Wii is not kiddy and the only people who b*tch about that are probably kids themselves or really immature adults.

2.  The PS3 could have a bright future, but It needs to sell a WHOLE LOT OF FRICKIN UNITS in the next six months, like 8 million to get somewhat close to the 360 so all the developers don't go multiplatform and bail on it all together.

3.  Not everyone gives a damn about Halo.  I've had a Xbox, roomate had the 360 and I could give a rats a## about Halo and most people out there are the same.  Yeah it may have alot of fans, but I don't know how many people, or casuals as they are called to the 360, and like it or not Casuals are the life blood of any system.  Casuals bring console sales.  Console sales bring developers.  Ask the PS2.  Why do you think it sold 100+ million units (probably to only 55 million people though, because I know no one who only went through one PS2.  I think the 2 really stands for how many you'll have to buy to play your game collection more then 3 years.) 

 So yeah, if you hate the Wii hate it.  I don't care.  I think people need to get their head out their rear and realize what kind of juggernaut Nintendo has created.  The developers are starting to swarm to it with new games and not rehashed crappy ports (their are alot) bringing games from E to M at a pace that will exceed anything the other systems could dream of. 

The Wii will continue to sell.  Those who own one will be happy with their games and the daily ever growing list of new titles to be released while the 360 and the PS3 cannabilize each other which in the long run will only bring more sales of the Wii system and more games.  

 Enjoy what ever system you want, but the day of reckoning is coming and the Wii (Lil' Mac) is taking the other systems (Bald Bull and Soda Popinsky) behind the woodshed right now and I really don't see that changing.  I never expected it, but that is the reality.  You can't deny sales numbers and more importantly the customer satisfaction brought by the Wii. 

The Wii isn't going away, it's getting great games and developers are fully on board with it, and as long as there is a hardcore market continuing to buy games for the system, the games you are interested will continue to be made.iunderstand

than how come sonic and serect rings scored better than xbox and ps3 version ..... madden was the best on wii  rayman set a good game for wii as well.... and those three games except for sonic and serect rings are on ps3 360....

tbh tht is a pretty horrible list. ive played most of them n they r pretty repetitive. 2 say theres nothing 'kiddy' about them is stupid

last time i check E =everyone t=teen ec=early child i dont see any with ec :| so there not kiddie.

than how come sonic and serect rings scored better than xbox and ps3 version ..... madden was the best on wii  rayman set a good game for wii as well.... and those three games except for sonic and serect rings are on ps3 360....

which verison is better thats RIGHT Wii verison

sonic n the secret rings still only got a 7.6 n 7.1 from the press. madden is a game 4 noobs n im in uk so early child dusnt exist. rated 3+ here, id say thts kiddie
