Im a car guy, for me IDK if M$ will ever top E3 2017 when their E3 press conference got to have the first reveal of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS to the world. IDK if anyone in attendance even cared, nobody seemed to - but it got me a little moist. Of all of the best E3 announcements ever, in my mind that's up there. Of course, it was tied to FM7 to fire us up, and while FM7 was exactly what was expected, Porsche themselves stole E3 for me, on M$'s stage ;)
I think there's a real obsession now with gamers wanting their favourite company to "win" E3 and by extension give them the right to hate on everything else. When did E3 change from this amazing event where developers and companies show off their awesome creations, becoming instead a childlike "my company is better than yours" debate?
Honestly I hope to see some exclusives and less of the fancy controllers, almost every tweet from MS is showing off yet another fancy controller when I'd rather they show some games.
Better hope the next Halo is a crazy crack but I'm kinda looking forward to the next gen of MS at this point. I bet they're have stronger teeth by then.

It has been this way for a good decade. But it's all in good fun really. Nobody normal takes any of this seriously.
Games. They need to wow us with games. Especially stuff outside the racer / shooter genre. They went the right path when they started with stuff like Super Luckys Tale. Get more diverse. Bring an exclusive JRPG like Lost Odyssey 2 for example.
I have no idea what ms would do if Sony did announce a ps5. I really can't see them leaving it and giving Sony a years head start regardless of what they say.
MS will probably have their best E3 this generation, Gears 5 and a new Forza Horizon are already confirmed, they have a future project from Remedy P7 and a lot of 3rd party participation....and VR. Yep even VR.
So I think MS will have a really good E3. but it's hard to gauge if having a "good" E3 will be enough for them at this point.
