How can someone love Sony after thy've read the 'broken promises timeline' Thread.
I don't love any game companys, apart from Valve and Bungie. Probably Bioware aswell.
Even though they rushed out there product just so they could be first they came out with a bunch or flawed consoles. Who cares if they gave a big warranty, thats not looking out for the consumer, look out for the consumer would be to wait a year and put out a product that doesn't suck. kingyotoX
its all about the games and microsoft knows how to deliver them

What?
That thread is TERRIBLE. It has some really good stuff mixed with BS. Terrible example.
My question to the TC? How can you love ANY company, they are just companies that make money. In this case, these three attempt to entertain us.

It's mostly the third part's delivering on 360 imo. It's just the place to be for 3rd party games this gen :) (Not including PC )
Also, this thread needs more kirby

Y'know like Sony did last gen. Btw, I won't even go into loving a corporation that's just silly.

WTH is with this "love" stuff, its a damn company people that makes products.. You buy their products, not because you love the damned company, but because you happen to like their products.. To me this sounds like your guys are ina cult of worshipers, that no matter what htey will do you will still love ms, sony, nintendo etc etc.. Give it a rest, its desturbing.

thats true but it seems to me microsoft has a heavy interest in seeing sony exclusive games come to the 360 which saves me money
If you are a console gamer you may have deluded yourself enough to think Microsoft actually cares about you; hence the company loving, but if you are a PC gamer then Microsoft is your lord and master.
People forget Microsoft is a monopolistic prick and is only offering anything of value because there is competition. Microsoft doesn't own the console market 'yet' so will actually put the effort in to compete; granted by wafting large wads of cash at anything in their way. But if they ever get a stranglehold over the market then XBOX gamers can join the club of people who hate Microsoft but continue to use their products; mainly because they have no bloody choice.
Though if your ego is soaking this up because your chosen overlord is Sony or Nintendo; don't laugh too hard, they would do the exact same thing if put in the same position.
No company deserves love. Out of the big 3 Sony deserves the least. This gen for them is a debacle, they start of with arrogant comments, thinking gamers will blindly follow them into next gen. Start of with an outrageous price tag, crap for online,(it's gotten much better since launch) won't pay for third party support, and they have a useless, piece of trash president.DireOwl
You would be right if it was November 2006. With a history like Sony's, they had every reason to be arrogant at the start. Look at the PS2's success. Sony doesn't think paying for 3rd party support is going to help them, and it won't. It's about a great relationship with your developers, not how much money you can throw at them. The price tag was totally justified for the launch. Look at what your getting for hardware. Back when the PS3 launched, a STAND ALONE Blu-ray player cost $700. The PS3 costs $600, and with the PS3 you can do so much more than just play Blu-ray's.
And getting back to throwing money at developers, Sony did something smarter, buying shares in developers, for example Square Enix. Sony owns 10% of Square Enix. So now that FFXIII has gone Multiplat, Sony will make even more money if it had just been exclusive. Also FFXIII is still exclusive to the PS3 in Japan, so if MS did throw money at Square Enix to get them to port FFXIII to the 360, then MS plan has not gone so well.
Same as GTAIV. MS paid up 50 Million for the exclusive content. Was that a smart decision? Rockstar doesn't care, they get 50 million, but if MS doesn't get what they expect to get, then we can say that bribing companys' for exclusives, is not a good business strategy.

I don't exactly love MS but even though my first 360 was struck with the RROD (and was replaced for free), I keep coming back to it. Why? Because it has the best variety of games that suit my tastes of any console this generation. As far as I'm concerned, that's all that matters.
I have little love for MS. However I love the 360.

 Just because i worship Valve and Bungie doesn't mean you have to tease me.Even though they rushed out there product just so they could be first they came out with a bunch or flawed consoles. Because MS did their best to satify most of their Xbox 360 consumers. Despite of MS's crap distribution from their first 360 system, which was eventually fixed, along with their RRoD, they released great games for the 360 gamers to enjoy. For a "Flawed" console, the Xbox 360 did great in pleasing the majority.
Upon seeing the TC's question, it made me ask myself that how can some love the PS3 so much despite of its delaying tactics in game dev?

My Xbox 360 works just fine. :|
$449.99 for a console and $59.99 for games isn't the right price (esspecially a console with rrod, and no WI FI)Because they provide us with the best games, at the right price.

Dont EVER compare the problems with the 360 to the problems of PS2.
Thats like saying Wii graphics are the same as the 360s.

20 gig 360 is 299.00 plus i dont need wifi i prefer standard wired connections (faster for sending and receiving data) plus more secure than wifi signals

i have no "love" them or their console....just the games that happen to come out for it...frankly i think MS is super petty and has their customers pay for too much....:evil:YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THEMES!!!!!!!!!!!!

well depends on the distance of your router and 360 but you could always buy a switch. But if thats not an option then yeah wifi is the way to go but the technology isnt their yet for me to completely jump in
Because Microsoft cares for its consumers. They get the games that was exclusive to the other console before and brings it home to the Xbox 360. They get exclusive content for games. They get games that you use to love back in the day and put them on XBLA and have free trials for them. They just love making the gamers happy.

depends really on what kind of access point your router has. Mine is a crappy 11b so it only allows me to transmit data at a whopping 11mbs,even though all my wifi support 11g but if you have 11a or g you can get a good 54mbs which isnt bad but id perfer the speed of wired ethernet

And what would that be? RROD is still a major problem for them, 360s are still dropping almost 3 years after it launched.
NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, gameboy, GBA, DS, PS, PS2, PS3, PSP all are more durable than the 360, and im pretty sure sega systems are too, but I never owned one.
Hell the durability of the 360 is a slap in the face to the video game industry. However their poor product has clearly cost them sales in Japan.
To be truthful,I'm starting dislike all of the big three
I don't like microsoft for giving me a small hardrive
However i love thier console almost as much as the ps2, so its all good
